6 seconds revive cast time on pet in PvP?

For PvP this sounds way too much for me. 6 seconds means that you basically can’t get the pet back once it dies (against people who know how to kick ofc), it therefore would need to be as hard to kill as a player.

Maybe I’m wrong here (I’m not that good on Hunter) and make more out of this nerf than it actually is, but I don’t really see a reason why this class needs a nerf, it’s def not on par with Assa, DH, Lock, Mage, WW in arena and (at least survival) is for sure not an easy to play class either.

Maybe make changes for PvP only or give us a PvP talent for faster resummon if you want to keep the 6 second cast time in PvE.

Yes this will be horrible for BM/SV in pvp, if they want to make revive pet harder to pull out in pvp they also need to make pets harder to kill.
I remember before MoP the cast time was 10 seconds but the pet was not so squishy like now and most classes didn’t have so much passive cleave/aoe to kill pets so easily.
Just make pets immune to cleave damage so if you want to kill a pet you have to actively focus it instead of passively killing it while training the player.

If this stays, you can forget PvP.

I for one will go out my way to kill the hunter pets, if anyone is BM or SV, because I would know how absolutely crippling it would be for them. It would be like a fire mage getting locked out of fire school. Sure he can cast his CC but he cant do naff all else.

It’s like disarming someone who then needs a 6 seconds cast to regain his weapon. If he’s interrupted on this cast, he can start over again.

I hope there is a pvp talent and/or a bonus from somewhere else that changes this.

I usually dont have a problem with pets dying at all in PvP. Proper use of mend pet during battle combined with pet defensive abilities, some calling them back when needed and Exhilaration makes it so they only die in really extreme and rare cases. Now if you just let them randomly run around doing their thing while u dont pay any attention ofc theyre going to die, but personally I almost never have any problems.

Id say this is probably more of a play style problem rather than an actual imbalance.

This is definitely not a playstyle problem. Against any dot classes in 2s and 3s, and especially (R)BGs you can forget hunters.

Agreed. Terrible for any, even a casual kind of pvp. This change will cause a change in behaviour that will cause easily disarming a hunter…

Terrible idea… 300% of cast time duration. Like seriously - what are they thinking?? It is not as if hunters are kings of arenas or any rated pvp…

AND it will make simple gameplay less relaxed. Truly ridiculous and silly idea. I would argue even prolonging up to 3 secs…

BUT if it absolutely for some reason must be done, then increase capacity of ‘mend pet’ by 300% or pet durability by 300%…

Yes. This is the main reason i decided to leave my hunter and play rogue in Shadowlands ! They just start joking on the hunters so hard with this stupidity !

I’m fine with this if they make my hunter/warlock pet really hard to kill and requires management of my pet to call back so it can be healed or removed from danger and healed myself.

There needs to be some smart play by Blizzard here to ruin some classes and hope to see it in before shadowlands.

6 secs… not enough make it 1min even 2 secs is long cast in pvp what is wrong with this devs ?

this is why i never play BM in pvp go MM so u dont need a pet :stuck_out_tongue:

have fun to play MM in pvp without a cunning pet … you loose so much : roar of sacrifice, master call and mortal wounds.

i think if they really want to set 6 sec cast time on revive pet, they have to rework the healing of the pet. I mean reworking 2 spell :

  • the heal pet on time
  • Feed pet : something useable in combat that heal 50% health in cost of food ?

i think it’s a Torghast problem to not allow rez quickly the pet in solo run.
