I genuinely enjoy levelling and do it to chill and relax in my downtime. It’s cathartic for me.
Everything is overpriced including the subscription for the state this game is in, it should’ve gone free to play long ago as the state has not changed much at all.
And you think that going F2P is going to drop the prices in the shop?
Ok.
Well, contrary to what most people here are insinuating you mean with your post, I for one get what you’re getting at. The leveling in this game has become a chore. The actual content begins at end game and to get to it you have to climb your way out of the mud which is low levels. Just like they did with Exile’s Reach, they should rework lower leveling. Either making rewards you get from it directly impact your character in the end game or something along those lines. The world is empty and void of any life. Before you reach max level, it feels like I’m playing one of The Elder Scrolls games; like I’m in a singleplayer game.
Doing this, the boost price would actually make sense, because you’d be skipping a part of the game that is actually enjoyable to play. So they charge a bunch of money to deter you from not playing the game as a whole.
Precisely this
But many people here have Stockholm syndrome
Just buy tokens and have people run you through dungeons for gold instead. Much faster and cheaper.
EDIT: Well, technically not “FASTER”, but you get what I meant lol
I was hoping the price would drop with the level squish, but sadly it hasn’t.
No one is gonna pay 50E for a boost when you can level a new character half a day to 50 and 2 in a day, heck if done each class right before shadowlands and have 37 total at 50+ its overpriced they aren’t gonna bleed by cutting down the prices and going free to play, there CEO is firing people so he can get a big bonus that he does not deserve.
Why do people have so much trouble in believing players can enjoy levelling more than End Game?
Thats the beauty of this game, players can do what they want to do, and not what is deemed the right way.
I don’t even know what to do with boosts I get from expansion purchases most of the time. To me leveling is an integral part of building the character’s story.
Never understood people who ignore all that and play tab targeting loot simulator.
eh? what?
/10 chrs/
I don’t have trouble understanding that someone enjoys leveling, but coming to this thread and writing that it should cost that much is what I have trouble understanding
They are charging 1 boost as 1.5 of their entire expansion packs
And this insanity obviously makes complete sense to blizz shills
And this is where I leave the thread, seems the kids are here.
What you see is Bobby Kotick’s business plan. Those who play WoW are most times busy individuals and more and more become casual. They strike exactly there where people would spend money. Levelling still takes some time but it’s much faster and easier now.
It literally takes 4-5 hours to level a character… the price is that high as Blizzard are trying to discourage people from buying a boost and having no clue what to do with the character when they start playing.
They have no clue even when they level
The game starts for me at current expansion, which means at lvl 50 at the start of SL. In all the other expansions everything i do feels completely useless. What am i doing with the flowers i pick up there? I do think leveling is part of the game too.
This has nothing to do with tab targeting loot simulator.
To the point of this thread, even if boost was 10 euro I still wouldn’t buy one. If cutting the price by half wouldn’t at least double the sales there is no point in doing that.
Of course the hard part of doing business is correctly guessing what the future holds in a what if scenario.
Can you guarantee that boost sales would rise 6 times over if the price was a sixth of what it is now?
I think it just boils down to different people like different things.
Levelling offers me nothing new at this stage, I’ve been playing since TBC and I have completed every quest on both factions many times. They are just a chore now.
I have bought various boosts in the past or used the ones that come with new expansion deals. Having said that, I don’t think it’s currently worth the money. When I delete a character to replace it, I just level. It’s pretty fast in it’s current format.
a free char for every ten…no really, like Puny said, there are a LOT of players that have been here a loooong time, a lot of altoholics, seriously give them a little something, a free char, an xp bank a flipping birthday card with level boosts in it…
