Can someone explain to me why is this actual robbery still a thing?
Does anyone actually care about leveling after they do that once or twice?
Am I insane for thinking this should cost like 10 bucks? It’s literally a time sink that is completely unfun btw, either killing 10 boars/spiders/oozes/bats in empty zones, or spamming low level dungeons which is horrendous experience in itself

25 for character transfer…

just to add that base edition of Shadowlands costs $40
so one leveled character costs 1 and a half of entire Shadowlands and Blizzard IQ 200 pricing department geniuses think this makes sense

It’s not meant as something you are supposed to use on every character…
So they put a high price on it… to deter people from buying it… but still keep it as an option for those extra lazy people.

The price tag is rarely there for deterrence.

Bought SL for the boost /shrug.
I know that but my question is WHY
Killing mobs for XP is literally the most trivial thing in this game which imo shouldn’t even exist.
Leveling is an outdated concept which lost it’s purpose in this game long ago, but remains in the game as some kind of old relic Blizzard doesn’t want to get rid off for some god knows what reason
On top of it all they slap a shameless $60 tag on it?
Blizzard get a grip honestly

Well… obviously i’ve used boosts before since i get them for free with the expansions.
Would you rather there be no option at all to buy max level boost?
Would I rather there be an option of $10 dollar boost?
Why yes kind sir, thank you for asking, yes, yes I would

Why don’t you play any of the FPS or MOBA games that are all “Instant action” instead of MMORPGs?

well, progression is a fundamental feature of mmos, always has been, always will be.
if you dont like it then

Who said I don’t like it
Precisely because I like it I want to do it with another char
But I want to spare myself of having to kill a thousand uninteresting mobs before that process starts, which blizzard for some reason values at 60 dollars
Which is 150% of cost of their entire game
But I guess I’m unreasonable?

If you dont like leveling you dont like rpg games so why you play one?

I enjoy wow end game
I don’t enjoy trivial mob killing to fill up some random bar before the game decides I killed enough trivial mobs in order for my end game to start
There’s literally nothing of value in the leveling process at the moment
The time when leveling was a meaningful part of the game is long gone

In Games such as fortnite, you can jump straight into the action, No leveling required.

There is no MMORPG that is “Instant max level”…
they all have a progression period.
So if you want instant end game, What you are looking for is not an MMORPG.
