Blizzard is heavily marketing guaranteed Beta access as a headline feature for the Epic Pack/ Collection, yet nowhere is it state that the beta realms are strictly hosted in North America.
Selling a premium bundle to a global playerbase at full price while concealing critical technical limitations is blatantly deceptive. European players are paying top-tier prices for an advertised feature, only to discover upon logging in that they are forced onto NA servers with 1000+ ms latency and constantly disconnecting. The game is practically unplayable.
And for anyone arguing that “nobody buys the Epic Pack just for beta access”: yes, many of us do. People gladly pay that premium specifically to test class changes, explore the new zones, and get hands-on experience with the new race well before launch. Dismissing beta access as an irrelevant throw-in ignores why a large portion of the dedicated playerbase buys these editions in the first place, and it excuses Blizzard for charging full price for a crippled feature.
Omitting this infrastructure reality is false and misleading marketing. If a primary selling point of an expensive digital bundle is locked to a single region’s servers, that disclaimer belongs front and center before payment is processed.
Blizzard needs to be held accountable: either spin up dedicated EU beta realms or explicitly state on the store page that beta realms are NA-only so European players can make an informed choice before spending their money.
EDIT: Buying a VPN is NOT the solution. You shouldn’t have to install third-party software just to play the game when that requirement was never disclosed or advertised prior to purchase. It’s Blizzard’s responsibility, not the player’s.
We have every right to expect it to work as usual. Yes, it’s a beta, so bugs and glitches are to be expected, but unless explicitly stated otherwise, having a working connection to the game is the absolute bare minimum.

I just processed my refund! Ofc I bought the 60 euros tier for the beta access. I just processed my refund and I’ll buy the lowest tier the kne without the beta access. They scammed EU people. They could at least either not sell beta access to EU or to make it at least playable, but logging it to kill 1 mob after that everything freezing and ping going 1000ms+ and having to dc to go again through the queue is unplayable

The Heroic pack is skyborne + no beta. The Epic one is Skyborne + Beta. People specifically bought it for beta.

Exactly . They marketed the pricier package with “Guaranteed Early Beta Access” , The problem is do you call an unplayable test access at all ? I say no it isnt.

Exactly, it’s not like having 100-200ms ping and things being a little delayed. The ping was going over 1800ms and everything freezing after killing 1 mob, having to dc and go through the queue again to log back in and just to find your char dead because you were in the middle of another fight

We all paid for the beta, yet we didn’t get proper regional servers or infrastructure to support the player base. The infrastructure already exists. They just chose not to use it for this beta.
That’s why I’m really curious to see how Blizzard intends to make this right for everyone around the world who paid €60 or €100 for a beta that clearly wasn’t properly prepared to support the global player base.

It’s insane how blizzard always manages to edited by a moderator something. Totally understand if some server delays and lags but this is unacceptable being constantly DCed & basically an unplayable beta so far.
I hope the team looks into this properly and fixes this issue, otherwise the EU did get scammed indeed.

Exactly, I would expect something like about 200ms ping with things being a little delayed, but there was 1800ms ping and after killing 1 mob everything freezing and having to reconnect to go through the queue all over again, to log in and dc again after 1kill, and repeat…that’s not a little lag, it’s just unplayable.

this wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t paid access but it is. Hopefully this issue at the very least gets acknowledged and or fixed. If not I can see a lot of people wanting their hard earned cash returned.

It is not. It is BETA. By the definition of the word access is NOT guaranteed.
You can always request a refund through Blizzard Support, and I’m sure they’ll grant it as long as you haven’t played the Warcraft 3 campaign
