I’m in the UK playing the EU Forever beta and I’m seeing the same severe latency/desync being reported here.
I’ve tested the actual game endpoints being used by WowB.exe, and they consistently sit around 104–111ms with 0% packet loss and almost no jitter. Despite that, WoW’s Home/World latency has ranged from a few hundred milliseconds to 1700ms+, and I’ve seen World reach roughly 4350ms.
One example while testing:
Actual game endpoints: 104ms / 111ms, 0% loss
WoW Home: 310ms
WoW World: 563ms
I’ve also experienced obvious desync. I reached a quest NPC and was standing beside it on my screen but couldn’t turn the quest in. After reconnecting, my character appeared roughly 200 yards back from where the client had shown me.
I’ve ruled out quite a lot locally: clean reinstall, wired connection, multiple game endpoints, and testing both direct and VPN routes. My normal connection is actually the most stable.
The ~105ms baseline itself raises questions about where EU beta sessions are being hosted, but 105ms alone doesn’t explain World latency jumping into the thousands while the underlying game connection remains stable.
I’ve submitted the full diagnostics to Blizzard Support. Hopefully this gets looked at as an EU Forever backend/server issue, rather than being dismissed as individual players’ connections.

Same here. 2Gbps connection and the latency is crazy!
The best part is that you get about 5 minutes of gameplay before the world stops working and you have to ALT+F4 cuz NPCs won’t let you interract with them, mobs don’t let you interract with them, other players are running on the spot, and Logout or Exit Game doesn’t do anything.

I have the same problem. I’ve diagnosed it any way possible. Tried Cloudflare WARP and a VPN for a different routing - the problem is the same. It’s on Blizzards end. Why they didn’t spin up an EU server is so weird to me.. I paid to play a beta that I can’t even play - not because of bugs, but because they couldn’t bother making an EU server lmao
From Denmark.
In-game latency repeatedly reaches roughly 400–600 ms Home and 1000–2000+ ms World.
I identified the actual WowB.exe TCP/3724 endpoints and compared the connection directly and through a VPN.
Direct connection:
- Blizzard TCP RTT approximately 145–160 ms
- substantial in-game Home/World latency
Proton VPN via Netherlands:
- Blizzard TCP RTT approximately 52–59 ms
- no meaningful retransmission observed
- WoW still reports approximately 480 ms Home / 1750 ms World
No addons installed.
This suggests the high displayed/application latency is occurring beyond the client-to-public-endpoint TCP path, possibly within the Forever world/backend infrastructure.

Same here. Other players just stand in one place and u need to alt+F4 to get out and log bk in. This need to be fixed asap. I didnt pay 60€ for this…
I have to constantly cast a healing spell if Im not looking around jsut to make sure im still connected. I dont mind a bit of lagging, but this disconnection problem is annyoing
