Moonlight rays through trees flicker between 2 frames

The moonlight shafts shining through the trees currently animate using only two frames that jump back and forth every couple of seconds. Instead of looking like soft moonlight, it looks like a rendering glitch and really breaks the atmosphere of the night scenes.

Suggestions:

  1. A smooth, properly interpolated animation, with an option in the graphics settings to turn the moving rays on or off.
  2. Static moonlight rays, which would already look much better than the current flicker.
  3. If the rays are meant to shift, they could move to a new position once a minute or so, rather than every 2 seconds.

I have this problem too.

Yes, and foliage shifts when moving slowly, looks unnatural.

Yeah shadows looked very broken for me too, even at max settings

Yep, same here. I tried various setting changes, but it kept doing it.

I had this issue only on the stresstest server, never on the beta. I just double checked it, and indeed, that is an issue related to the stresstest servers, just to be clear.

Yup, in Tirisafal last night on the stress test, found lots of “epilepsy foliage shadows”
