The WoW Forever Beta is now closed, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us over the last five weeks of playtesting, data gathering, bug reporting, and feedback.
We’re now quickly moving into a period of a few short days where we will do some focused work on priority issues and the game service itself, so that it will be in good shape for launch day on November 4.
And of course, we’ll open access to the character creation system on Tuesday, October 27, allowing everyone plenty of time to select the ruleset that will define your journey and snag the name that best fits your adventurer.
You won’t have to wait until the game launches to make these big decisions.
Also next week, we’re going to continue with our WoW Forever Podcast. If you haven’t consumed it all, this is a great time to catch up with everything the WoW Forever designers have had to say.
Again, we’re deeply grateful to have seen so many people find their Forever home, and create new communities, and find friends (old and new) to join on the journey ahead.
We’re really looking forward to seeing you on November 4! Thank you very much!
Was sweet to say goodbye and me as a predominantly horde char, ended up logging on as an alliance gnome mage and watching the count down with other players in SW Harbour, at the lighthouse! And watching lots of players going swimming out to sea as it struck 6pm, the end
First off, thank you SO MUCH for this as well. Letting us play the Beta and try help out both you the Devs, the game itself and its community.
I am fully aware that you got more things to adress before launch but this should not be kept ignored when all from WoW’s own forum, reddit, WoWhead and many made ingame Bug-reports on both of these two issues over the past month. Please consider to atleast add a toggle for the animation. Just like you did with transmogs so it won’t be forced on others and also adress the unfinished green arrow textures.
That said:
(1)
About the green arrow issue. Since Beta launch, arrows were invisible, and only recently Blizzard addressed it by adding a large green placeholder arrow instead. That clearly points to missing textures, yet Beta is now over and both Hunters and mobs were still shooting green arrows at each other.

People on reddit are calling the animation out too. One of many threads on this issue there called: “The bow animation that plagued retail for 7 years is back in Forever”.
This issue has been discussed for weeks across forums, social media and in-game. WoW’s own EU forum got a fairly large thread on it here: “Please update the female Skyborne bow animation before launch”.
Now with Beta ended, there’s still complete radio silence. All we’re asking for is a short statement that Blizzard is aware of it and may look into it later atleast.
To make things simpler, here is a quick comparison down below:
Simply copy-paste the link(s) into your browser. Not trust lvl 3 yet so can’t upload right here.
OLD animation that we got from copy-paste female blood elves
