700+ mounts

I usually set newly acquired mounts on favourite for a week or two before entirely disregarding them. My favourite list has these all the time:

  • The purple from the original 60% Elekks because it was my first mount
  • Mekgineer’s Chopper because I went in debt to acquire it back in WotLK
  • Sandstone Drake because it’s the only pre-DF flying mount that has passenger spot
  • Tarecgosa because it’s the only legendary-tied mount I have
  • One of those Vash’jir seahorse mounts in case I find myself there for seasonal events
  • The Yak with the repair vendor and transmogrifier
  • Algari mount because I like the rhombuses it uses for vigor instead of ovals

no way, most of my mounts are there just to bump up my collection count.
i only ride the good mounts.
the only store mounts i bought were either a part of a bundle or stuff i bought when i had only like 1-2 flying mounts & i wanted something cooler than a tiger with wings.

I dont have that many mounts, but i do use the random mount button so technically i use them all.

Surely there is no worse feeling of disappointment when you anticipate “Sintouched Deathwalker” coming, but instead you get “Brown Kodo”.

Got to atleast sort them in to favourite.

No I don’t use them all. I use about 7 or 8 mounts. Fresh drops get put into the Favourites for a few days, but get removed quickly if they’re not rare or flex.

I used to buy Store mounts with Gold (never IRL money), but don’t really see anything on the store as worth buying anymore.

I also don’t tend to buy trading post mounts, because I will never ride them.

I have no favourites. I like to see them all.

i have over 50 characters now - and each one has a distinct flying mount and a ground mount chosen to fit their race/class/transmog etc , so thats about 100 different mounts used - admitedly i have more mounts as well that i dont often use

If a mount has a rarity of more than 5% on the “dataforazeroth” site - I don’t ride it.
If a mount is easy to get - I don’t want it.
Exception - Lightforged Warframe

Sure, there is a lot of collectors in the WoW, but i feel like its such titanic work to collect all mounts, and yet - zero benefits/appreciation.

And also, a bit lame that most of the mounts is simply recolor, for example Silessa’s Battle Harness and Desire’s Battle Gargon - rare mounts, but there is way easier to get recolors of those mounts such as Gravestone Battle Armor and Battle Gargon Vrednic

Some of the mounts is cool, but since there is so many and they all shiny, the uniqueness of each individual mount is lost.

I bet there is still players with the dream such as: Camp this rare mount > Got lucky to loot it > Stay in the middle of the hub, mounted on it > Every player who is running by, praising them into whispers.

I couldn’t care less about mounts, I just choose one for the character I’m using which fits him and then I always use that (I have like… 20 favorites and always pick among those). To be fair, it makes my life easier, collecting mounts must be stressful. I’m way more interested in transmog pieces, that’s also why I barely ever buy mounts on the trading post.

My most used are the grand gryphon, the darkmoon faire blimp, the flying machines, the new airplane mount, the wyvern like mount from dragonflight and a handful of others I can’t remember right now. I have a preference for mechanical mounts, but not all of them. The only ones I like to collect are, guess what, motorcycles, but I barely ever use them since they’re ground mounts - which is also why I love the new brooms, I hope they will design more options of those. They’re like the wow version of a flying motorcycle.

I am no collector, I just get what I like and will use. But to each their own of course !

I rarely can bring myself to pay 10,000g for a mount let alone part with actual cash for one.
So I’ve only got 299 mounts (only just found this out when checking for this post, so one more and I get the 300 mounts cheev, which one should I buy??)

I do have all the dungeon and raids one up to the end of cata but I don;t simply buy them for the sake of it.

I got 771 mounts and nope I dont use them all altho I do like to pick different mounts for my characters depending on their class and race.
I just really like collecting stuff, mogs, mounts and such.

Games changed, its quantity over quality. Same as most things nowadays, and nothing ever gets better from doing that method

I have just over 700 … basically I like mounts. I have no interest in mogs so all my ‘collecting energy’ goes on mounts. I did have certain favourites I always used for different things but, having recently discovered the Summon Random Mount button am happy to meet up with old friends every time I mount.

I like the fun of collecting them but I dont go out of my way to do things I hate (or cost real money) just for the sake of it.
So for example I hated Plunderstorm but did it to get the mount and mog, but now I have them I dont feel the need to do it again for a different colour.
I do want the new store transmog mount though…I would def get alot of use out of that cute bear!

I play since TBC, but I’ve never been a big mount collector…I think I only cracked 250+ in tww :joy:
