Feels odd having the chapter split into “Alliance versions” and “neutral versions” now an OG member is back…leading them in battle and regent of the Alliance, especially given the Horde doesnt need a Silver Hand chapter, given they have holy orders of paladins themselves.
I have always looked at it as the Northern Chapter retains its autonomy and will help their Brothers and Sisters in the Argent Crusade and Southern Silver Hand.
They’re the old Chapter, not the current Alliance Chapter.
You mean like when an OG member returned from exile, claimed the vacant title of Highlord and united the Silver Hand and the Argent Dawn but Alliance paladins still referred to themselves as Knights of the Silver Hand and were not neutral in any way?
The same OG member who was exiled right? and never actually pardoned and came along and just ham-fistedly assumed command of several factions he wasnt a part of for the sake of story, despite being known as a traitor and exile at the time, I’m sure a living legend like Turalyon, who’s arguably the most “Alliance” hero going in the history of the setting and without scandal could change their minds.
The Tirion thing kinda always bugged me a little, and having “two” silverhands feels weird, an alliance one and a neutral one.
The OG member who was exiled for following the Three Virtues and acting more as a paladin than any other present for his trial? The one who would purify the Ashbringer and ultimately dealt the Lich King his first defeat since Arthas picked up Frostmourne at Light’s Hope? The one who always had the Argent Dawn’s utmost respect?
Yeah. That one. Tirion is as much a legend as Turalyon is at this point - the only exception is we actually worked with Tirion whereas Turalyon was missing and as far as everyone knew presumed dead.
He had writers favouritism imo, I personally dont think his word would be more valued than Turalyons, but thats just an opinion, as much as it kinda erks me that he was able to just walze in after being technically a traitor and an exile and just take over it made for imo the best expansion in the game, and I actually like his development after.
Ps. I also dont think Tirion is as much of a legend as Turalyon, Turalyon has more feats imo, Tirion has a win over Arthas, Turalyon has a win over Ogrim Doomhammer and spent 1000 years fighting on Legion worlds and contributed toward the fall of the legion who imo were a bigger threat than the scourge, he’s also still around and likely to make that gap in feats even larger over time.
How?
Why not?
Because he was literally one of the most holy men left in Lordaeron and one of the strongest paladins standing.
Win over death god versus a win over a regular orc.
And no one saw any of those feats, no one but the Army of the Light and Turalyon himself and Alleria know what he did in the Nether. Everything Tirion did we saw publicly. His death martyred him.
But that’s not a topic for this chat. Whether you like it or not it is best to think of the Silver Hand as a split faction - one Alliance chapter, one neutral chapter in the Argent Crusade.
Because its my opinion that Turalyon > Tirion, that he would give him a wedgie/headlock combo take his lunch money and walk off the victor in every situation, call it bias, is what it is
Also if Tirion could beat Arthas I think so could Turalyon, even easier.
Ps. hate that you pick apart my points/opinions so easily D:
The exalted Argent tabard lets you port to the Tournament Grounds though, was very handy during the World Tournament!
Ugh god stop the lame vegan lore debates
This looks good, glad to see you around after all these years Galdrick! So best of luck
