IC Agenda

19.00 - Gathering and Conversation
20.00 - Opening Speech and Prayer
20.05 – Reports from the units and the assembly
~20:45 - Meeting conclusion.

When the formalities of the meeting come to a close. You may retire to the outside to discuss the reports, engage in training with your fellow knights, or perhaps take a tour of one of the Tyr’s Hand or Light’s Hope Chapel

While the Call of the Silver Hand serves primarily as an opportunity for Silver Hand and Argent role-players and guilds to meet up and get to know each other, the meeting also maintains the tradition of welcoming participation from allies and friends of the Silver Hand. In that sense, representatives of the Church of the Holy Light, Alliance military and other holy orders are welcome to send representatives.

Yes! The meetings are back. After discussing with Haarm we’ve decided to bring the Argent Crusade (at least in their Knightly part) in closer, and to spice the meetings up by adding some lecture/discussion/pilgrimage/other activity immediately after the main event. It still remains a mostly social event, and an opportunity to catch up with your fellow knights.

Sounds epic af, one question, kinda confused on the state of the Silver Hand right now, as Turalyon leads some knights in the pvp stuff, is it safe to say the Silver Hand is an Alliance group again now with Turalyon leading them in fights against the Horde?

Seeing how many times in BFA the Silver Hand has been involved in fighting the Horde, it sure seems like it. But beyond actions I do not think we’ve seen anything relating to an official statement that the Silver Hand is strictly and entirely an Alliance organization. I did notice that Mathias Shaw reports the Silver Hand is still active in the Sanctum of Light but does not comment on who’s there beyond the Knights.

An historically Alliance order that used to spearhead the Alliance army to defeat the Horde that briefly united in Legion for a greater cause to take back arms against said Horde (which betrayed it without second thougts )army, led by the Alliance regent, doesn’t sound very neutral potential to me.

That same Alliance regent being one of the original members aswell (and arguably the most accomplished Paladin in history) could deffo see them turning from very short neutrality back to Alliance under Turalyons leadership, but again, probably something we’d need Blizz to confirm…

Seeing Silver Hand NPC crush orc skulls in battle for Stromgarde is enough for me

Good for you, friend. Let us hope we get something more definitive about the structure of the Silver Hand in the future. Though I have a feeling they are on the backburner for a while now so, time will tell.

They made the Argent Crusade back as the big neutral organisation in SL prepatch (and not the Silver Hand in which it melded in for Legion).
I think it’s pretty clear that the Legion Order seceded back into their own organisations during the war. There is 0 reason to assume neutrality (and if people wanna do neutral Silver Hand RP, the Argent Crusade is recruiting, I know a very cool GM you should totally DM him).

I wouldnt find it toooo hard to believe the Silver Hand may at times…(?) convene with other holy orders, like sun walkers/blood knights, depending on circumstance, but general horde units horde army ect? cant see it right now, and agreed the Argent Crusade kinda fill that neutral “holy” order role now, have done for a while, Silver Hand are just the OG’s is all but they are basically Alliance again, and Horde have their own paladin orders aswell so…

i also think the silver hand tabard is cooler than the argent one

And it has a use effect!

Pretty much everything we have at this point seems to indicate that the SH is an Alliance thing post-Legion. The paladins following Turalyon and fighting BK’s in Stromgarde, the SH banner next to the Alliance paladin trainer in the new trainer hall as opposed to the Silvermoon banner next to the Horde paladin trainer in Orgrimmar and the Argent Crusade being its own thing again as the go to neutral organization in SL pre-patch. The lore around these orders is a bit messy mainly because Blizz felt the need to use a consecrated Alliance paladin order as the Order hall for all paladins back in Legion despite there already being a neutral one which was already the result of a merger between SH and AD, but well. Besides, with Turalyon back and leading the Alliance as the last founding member of the SH chances are most members of the Order would follow his lead.

The base Argent tabard for sure, but the gold-trimmed version is :chef’s kiss:

Don’t Cenarion Circle and Earthen Ring members appear during invasions for Alliance and Horde respectively too?

Black and white? Nah, it’s iconic.

One could argue that anyone who disobeys Turalyon is a filthy traitor pig and in need of serious purging

Fought for the Alliance, or rather, the Night Elves in the War of Thorns aswell, and during Darkshore iirc!

And their leader is also the co-leader of an Alliance nation!

Someone should make that argument at the next call meeting.

If I am there, I shall do my best to slip it in at the tiniest imaginary provocation/need.

Hope I can make it, have missed most of the last few and Aeth hasn’t been able to :moyai: enough in Highguard attire.

Or as was the case from WotLK through Legion we don’t look at the Silver Hand as a single organisation anymore, with there being a neutral chapter that is part of the Argent Crusade - as the Argent Crusade was formed via the merger of the Argent Dawn and the Silver Hand, while the chapters in Stormwind and Ironforge have always been Alliance.
