7600x3d vs 9700x

Hey guys I wanted to hold a bit longer to my setup but my motherboard gave up today so I’m getting a new one and I’m also upgrading the cpu and ram.

I can’t decide between 7600x3d and 9700x they are ± the same price in my region.

X3d chips are said to be working great with wow but we also know wow is greatly dependent on single thread performance which is huge on the 9700x. We are looking at 3600 (7600x3d) vs 4600 (9700x) single thread ratings. What are your thoughts?

current setup:
amd 6650xt
amd R5 2600
16gb ram

I think that x3d is better for WoW, but probably both processors are good enough.

Both trade blows when it comes to a large amount of games but for WoW the 7600X3d will likely win out because of the extra cache which WoW seems to like.
