I absolutely love the 8.2 mount models - the only upsetting thing is the fact Tidestallions are usable underwater only.
“Summons and dismisses this mount. Can only be used underwater.” - description for ALL of them. I don’t see why they would give us such a beautiful mount model and not allow it to be used on land - let’s be honest, water mounts are almost never used, and there’s no underwater content to give the players incentive to use them.
If we are getting mount equipment, why not create an item that allows underwater mounts to be used on land? Put them in a bubble as is the case with certain battle pets. OR - just make them usable on land. I cannot deal with the fact i wont be able to ride that beautiful seahorse around…
Nothing is a stretch when you put it that way but its just every damn thing here has to be second guessed to cater to someone who “can’t deal” with a pony that isn’t a run of the mill one.
You’re the only one “moaning” though
I always found it sad that beautiful mounts get restricted like that, and would love to use them more - and the Tidestallion is just TOO GOOD.
We also have flying cats (Priestess Moonsaber) Azeroth isn’t exactly a place with a lot of sense, so a hovering hippocampus wouldn’t upset anyone (well, almost…)
I doubt Blizzard will change their approach to mounts anytime soon, at this point im just having fun with it - we have perfectly normal, run of the mill ponies and horses if need be. I’d much more rather hop onto something whimsical though like a land seahorse!

Dalaran as a mount, for everyone. Full size too. Just thousands of Dalarans flying everywhere. I know people like to park their mount on top of an NPC so this would be perfect. Instead of “Where’d the mission table go?” it’d be “Where did Boralus go?”.
