8 Fresh Installs - WoW UI + Addons Reset Every 24 hours

Hi all,

Having played this game and many others for many many years, I am a bit confused as to how i suddenly have so many issues with my WoW Classic.

I setup addons, UI etc on WoW classic. Log out / reload and all is fine. Nothing suspect, yet 24-72 hours later when i login, I get an LUA error followed by the same entirely Reset WoW settings (sound, gfx etc).

The same issue persists every time now having reinstalled WoW, Bnet and Twitch app 8 times.

Two errors persist, either Battlenet launcher is suddenly unable to locate my game (tried placing it in multiple places on desktop, program files, games folder etc). And if not this then the following error:

"LUA Warning:
Message: WTF\SavedVariables\Blizzard_Console.lua:1; unexpected Symbol
Time: Insert date and time
Count:2 "

I am very much fed up of having to reinstall, rebuild and redownload everything every time I go to login, so has anyone found a fix for this, or for that matter encountered this issue?

I have never personally in 15.5 years almost of WoW.

Maybe it’s a dying harddisk.
Have you tried it on a different drive?

Yeah tried on 3 SSD’s no difference. The WTF folder is the only thing that seems affected, as all other items on all 3 SSD’s HDD’s work fine.

Do you have some third party antivirus/anti-malware etc. programs? If so, try uninstalling them and just using Windows Defender.

Try installing addons manually, too without Twitch (uninstall it so it doesn’t mess things up). This can be used to rule out Twitch bugging out.

Tried, same problem.

The interaction with battlenet launcher and WoW client for classic seems to be the issue.
