I know it’s an unpopular take, but guess what, I’ll blurt it out anyways! Who cares about that silly dinosaur? Because it carries an AH? Big deal! Leave the dinosaurs to the wilds where they belong I’d say, especially the poor longnecks, they’re almost (if not actually) extinct !
Yeah, I’ll say it fam, there are much better uses for your money!! Can’t stop you from throwing your money at that dino but don’t say I didn’t warn ya that it’s just a dino! And when you find yourself wanting your money for something else that’s big and pretty (debatable) you may find yourself lacking and your money missing!
I can’t speak for others, but I’ll speak for myself, I don’t really use my money much on anything, a steam game is literally the same price lately, for example, a brand new steam game, or a reworked steam game is near the same price, living today, specially where I am from, that money is worth what, not much, this AH mount has been a debate for years, there are people out there scamming others, also people out there buying an account that has this AH mount, for 600+ EUROS etc, it’s really not a problem for me specially, I am aware, the price is high for people in a country where they cannot afford it.
Also another way of getting this mount, you could technically get it for free, if you’re a gold farmer, and that’s what you spend your wow on, buy 5-6 tokens, now the tokens has gone buy, but there are options and were options, and will be options for people in the long run, and the mount is also not forced upon you, the likelyhood of a friend now having the AH mount in raids, and your M+ is going to be pretty much 100% in the future, so if you don’t wanna buy it, don’t.
My 2 cents fam? Don’t waste your money on a longneck dino, do you really care so much about being a poser (showing) your money because it’s expensive? Is prestige really that much more important than say gearing your 10 alts or maxing out that profession or buying a whole bunch of mounts for that amount of money? What about the WoW tokens you can buy? Why do that to yourself? You wanna show prestige? Get the mage tower achievement, or a title, something that will reward you for things other than just mindlessly farming gold.
There are people that have bought all of the things you just said above, for millions of gold, still to this day, there are people buying boosts, that’s the most common thing, people spending GOLD cap on a Mythic Mount, because they cannot do it themselves, what exactly is the difference, the boosting community is so large now, if you haven’t notice in the Trade Chat, Mage Tower? blizzard had a ban wave towards all the people that bought boost for that too (Dunno how, idc) Curve, M+ boost, (Last boos of every end of an x-pack) gold cap, which is worthy of 300+ Euros or even more. people even buy gold even though we have wow tokens from several sites. (So basically people have bought wow tokens for ages, to STAND afk and get boosted) if I wanna buy a mount, that doesn’t harm anyone, so what, I’d say the boosters out there, is more harmful.
I’ve also played wow for years, if I wanna spend my irl money on this game, to support it, so be it, it is what it is, I can only apologize if you a stranger, is this tilted that people bought a mount, I’d be more titled towards all the boosters that have ruined the community of actually playing the game.

I’m not buying it personally. This kind of money is spent better elsewhere for me.
Meh, consider WoW a hobby. Every hobby costs money, right. Many hobbies less, many hobbies much more than the game price + sub. You literally pay for leasure.
These once-in-a-time purchasables are in that way not really a big deal for anyone who sees this as a hobby, and for anyone who has a proper job.
But for some reason this is bad because it’s Blizzard earning money from it. I don’t get it.
Most of the time, people say “who cares?” are either very short-sighted, dishonest, ignorant of history, or a mix of the 3. Anyone who cares about the game should care about what happens to the game and the repercussions of the actions taken.
Note that in this specific case, it is not much different of what has already happened before, but this rhetoric reeks of stupidity.
It isn’t about the specific mount. It’s about the business model. Instead of adding it to the game as a reward maybe, they sell it. Same thing with the new iconic mounts models.
All these should have been in game rewards, not in game shop items. Because we pay a subscription.
I pay a sub, that’s enough care.
I haven’t bought a single item from the shop, because the sub pays enough.
When this game goes F2P, then I will support through the cashshop, not before.
My issue is that it’s two or three times more expensive than the other store mounts, which sets a dangerous precedent. If people are fine with spending 78EUR on a mount, what is stopping Blizzard from releasing a 100EUR one? Or a 200EUR one after that?
It’s a predatory tactic and I don’t support these.
I am a multi-CE raider, I get all portals for M+ every season, I get duelist in PvP every season ( more or less if I feel it). I didn’t buy it to show my prestige, I bought it because it’s such a useful and convenient mount, it’s just such a worthwhile investment.
Personally i do not care at all as my main is mage and ah is always close.
Also i have played star trek online since beginning so i am very familiar with expensive “mounts” compared to Star Trek online this mount would be quite cheap
