Hello blizzard, what the hell does the nerfed dmg and nerfed survivability means? We already were at bottom of the melee classes in arenas, litterally the most squishy ones by a large margin with nice burst and nice mobility and poor rng based healing. DHs are very RARELY seen in top ranks among others btw. So what you guys did is that you nerfed one of our most important burst spell -> unbound chaos by 15% (UC crits for around 6-10k) that means its 900-1500 dmg minus in important burst! (reminder that dh is just about burst and kiting) and instead of that you gave us “buff” on CS and DB wich are attacks used in face to face combat(wich as a average or above average dh player find useless). If you guys wanna design the DH into face to face combat im in, but then you have to BUFF the OLD darkness and blur instead of nerfing it and 100% keep the Cover of Darkness talent. Same with the leech, you increased the leech in normal(elf) form by 5%(total 10%) and decreased leech in demon form by 5%(total 20%) wich means we are again weaker in our burst, bcs when you burst you are 90% of time in the demon form, bcs of demonic talent and meta. That means the increase of leech in normal(elf) is completely useless, because in normal(elf) form we had to pretty much kite, now with the different darkness we MUST kite. The effectivnes of other melee classes compared to DH is NOT even close. You guys know it the best bcs you can see it in statistic. Everyone playing the META classes, because their are simply better, stronger and more viable. You guys really have to start the game, make a havoc, gear it up and play arenas (at least arround 1700mmr) to find out the class itself isnt really catching up with the others. DHs are very easily outplayed(you can dodge the hunt with every cc and it will be on CD) and without hunt dh is forced to kite and is basically walking paper killed in one stun(now even with both deffs on). I dont really see why you guys nerfing class that have 2 players in TOP 100(to this day) by this large amount(dmg is decreased by 2,2% and survivability by a mile). Why there is no bigger focus on warrior outbreak and class balance in general. Dont get me wrong i made a warrior and i love it, it feels nice, strong and complete same with the ret paladin and ww. There are no gaps in the design of class. If you are good player with some brain you can pretty much always do something about the course of fights, you have spell for everything. But with DH you feel these spaces in class, it feels like you play class that is still in making.
I would really love some answer, some explanation and to see this problem resolved.
it’s wrong, i remember they have put arcane mage in s tear during the beta while i was facing r1 and shut down them with poor enha shaman(me never played enha) before enha was overbuffed for no reason, and nobody has played arcane mage at the start of the season, i also remember 15 min games as poor no selfhealing enha shaman in 3s skirms before overbuffing
same goes for combat rogue, their damage is disgusting, nothing has been changed for them since beta, wonder why no1 plays this spec, maybe cause it hard and no subterfuge
i’d also take out from s tear ret and dk, they r not that great, imo skillcapped should make special row for dh in tier list removing b and c (no1 is b and c, sub rogue is a tier), i’d called this d tier cause word dogsht begins with d
This is actually a very accurate list and mostly refers to 3s (in 2s we will be ranked a little better). Just look at the S-A tier specs and what they offer, what they have, and then look at the dh who has nothing but ape dps (not even real def cds) and everything will be crystal clear to you. S-A tier specs in addition to ape dps and real def cds have other very good and useful things, not only for them but for the whole team.
I agree with you that ret and fdk will not be S tier. They will be S+ tier.
Enhance A-tier this patch after healing and mana-regen nerfs and still zero survivability? really? Same tier as survival hunter who will be god mode in jungle?
Still has healing, still has purge, still has astral shift which is better than all dh def cds combined. Still has all those good things for the team. With a warrior it will still wipe people out in 2-3 seconds, with another hybrid it will make an almost immortal combo. I really don’t know what’s not clear to you.
Reduces dmg taken by 40% over 8 sec. Guaranteed 40% that will always work. 1.5 min cd, no rng, which means you will have a counter for every possible burst cd. Add to that healing.
Unfortunately, you cannot be immortal. I’ve mostly seen stupid shammys that use it at 10-20% hp. If you use it on time, ie when the burst starts, you will survive for sure, especially if you add some heal with it. As havoc, I can use all def cds and still die. It all depends on how generous rngjesus will be to me.
