9.1 so far

-Tons of new grinds
-Torghast but it’s actually worse (recently did layer 9 completed everything finished in 13 min it was extremely boring got 158 point 160 was needed to get 4 stars probably even getting 4-5 stars is timegated with tower knowledge also this new m+ ish system made it even more boring then it was)
-4 hours to complete fill the bar thing in korthia cuz of bugged rares ( not attackable / events aren’t starting etc.)
-Inventory space problems cuz of new currency ( why can’t i just loot it like stygia?)
-Lots of fps drops in Korthia ( using msi 3060ti gaming x paired with ryzen 5600x)
-New grinds to old reps ( paragon boxes with rng mounts)
-I thoght i will never hate a zone in day 1 but this xpac prooved me wrong twice with the maw and korthia
-New assaults are bad . Stop trying to improve or should i say ruin it. Legion assaults were fine stop touching them and just copy paste it.

I do know this is the first week and new stuff will be unlocked later but the thing is half of what i wrote is the systems we will have to deal with probably next 6 months maybe more. I really don’t understand how this patch took 8 months to come out cuz it feels like someone just put it together in 2 weeks.
I really hope you guys did a fantastic raid and a seasonal m+ affix cuz the rest is pretty much garbage.

Wanna hear a funny story? I’m stuck at the “blinding the eye” quest because I die to the eye of the jailer debuff (which is full) during the fight. Guess doing the weekly quests before going on the intro quest backfired slightly… well, guess I’ll find out about the other masterstrokes tomorrow.

Legit i was so scared i would encounter a bug i rushed the maw part to not get any debuff

Korthya is actualy rly good.. especialy for alts.. u get 220 il gear if u only do quests farm rares and loot chests.. like wtf.. its already invalidating hc castle nathria.. i dont understand why people complain its very very alt friendly… geting a full set of 220 just by playing the new zone

I mean the moment you saw the eye of the jailer thingy go up i would have refrained from continuing it

I’m not a beta player, and we didn’t get any debuff from the frist questline part in korthia. Didn’t anticipate that we suddenly have to go back to the old part of the Maw after that. :man_shrugging: … And I’m not really complaining, just find it kinda funny and ironic… getting killed by the eye while trying to remove it. :stuck_out_tongue:

You dont need to be. Theres a rule you should always consider. Now and in the future: “Never trust Blizzard with absolutely anything”.

No one said anything about alt gearing read the post again

The rift tear event where all the blue/black/purple streams are firing into the air took me from 100+ FPS down to like 15.

I think the zone overall is good though. I see threads like this every patch. IMO Korthia has a better first impression with me than Mechagon, Naz, and Broken Shore.

using the skip with alt you immediately get the dailies in korthia(wonder why first time doing it with a main doesnt open the dailies)
and warmode has buffs for doing them with it
and weekly shaping fate can be done quicker this way
i had the rare that flies between two spots tagged and bar went to 92%

after watching that travesty of a cinematic where tyrande fails again and sylvanas goes on scot free, smug, and with a victory in her pocket without a second of worry or hesitation in fighting tyrande, my investment in the story is on an all time low. I guess I’ll do the bare minimum and just raid log, unless there are very cool mounts and mogs dropping in korthia, will have to check wowhead before wasting any time there.

gotta agree, checked the korthia vendor and there was nothing of interest. i dont raid so korthia has pretty much nothing for me. 207 loot from rare drops is nice though, will gear me up a bit if i can be bothered.
Sooooooooo much trash in my bags now

one plus of korthia/maw … i can frickin mount now. It wont change my mind on the maw (hate that place) but at least wont be so bad in korthia hunting 207s.

I did 100% a lvl 9 Torghast without the box of many things or whatever (ilvl 227).

However I was only able to fill the Korthia bar thingy to 60%, before I got bored and logged out.

I do dread that I “need” to do 10m+15(or as high as possible) every week during this season to fish for spots that aren’t occupied by domination gear.

I also (as a hunter) hate the fact that I, again “need” to do normal and heroic sylvanas until I get the leggo bow (because it’s upgradeable).

If it turns out to be too much of a time sink I might just go casual until 9.2.

I’m personally having an okey time in the new patch so far, not feeling the big chore -yet-
But I wonder when the next patch will hit, dont think this patch will last long content wise

Well korthia is small and bland it will be old in about 2 weeks.

Torghast, its not difficult but just takes longer to clear all, so thats really got worse and still forced content.

The whole forced re making ledgendaries seems like just bad design, all the new ledgendaries seem to be pretty useless.

We only have the raid and a dungeon to last many many months.

What have they really been doing all this time ???

I tried to get into it but ugh.. It all blows. Korthia started promising(ish) but once the reality of the weekly grind of it set in I instantly hated it. I just don’t understand how this is what Blizzard thinks is fun.

I tried thinking about a new ranged dps but having to deal with the covenant system is so awful I just can’t. Need to look up if different specs work with the same covenant or will I have to choose a spec to be locked in as well.

Haven’t encountered any serious bugs at least. Although I think might find bugs more fun.

The amount of content in this patch is honestly disappointing.

  1. Korthia is half a zone, way too small, after the initial quest you are left with 3 dailies and rare/chest grind?
  2. Rehashing legion assaults (why are they not daily?)
  3. One dungeon, no mythic plus for it
  4. One raid

I am happy with the class balance changes and new covenant legendaries but that’s about it, 2 new conduits that people will probably only use as fillers, no new Sanctum Upgrades, no follower balancing, no new profession items besides crafters marks. It also feels like the renown grind is way too long and not rewarding enough, it should be 20 levels of renown and more to unlock to actually give people something to do.

What are people going to do in a month or so, log in to do weeklies, log in for raid and that’s it? I fear this will make many people quit the game and kill a lot of guilds. This is the least content out of any big patch, it’s really poor.

Least content of any big patch? Are you actually serious?

I agree on the zone stuff, sure, Korthia is a bit small - But I like that, I don’t want a daily zone to be some huge trek every single freaking day.

BUT regarding the overall content, this patch is not lacking in that comapred to others?

  • New megadungeon
  • New Raid
  • New zone
  • New Torghast System
  • Soulbind Extension
  • Additional Renown levels
  • PvP Talent overhaul
  • New System: Domination Shards
  • Lots of new collectables
  • Two new reputations and associated goodies.
  • New storyline quests spanning over 6+ weeks (gated)

I mean whether you agree to like it all or not is another question, but you can’t actually deny there isn’t a lot there??? Let’s look at BFA 8.2, a “Big patch”.

  • 2 new zones (BFA wins)
  • New raid (same)
  • New megadungeon (same)
  • 2 new reps (Same)
  • Each zone has a questline that once exhausted is largely done (less, SL has the continuation of the Cov campaign which is larger than the BFA story additions at this point)
  • No massive changes to PvP (less)
  • New system: essences (equal with SL if we take Dom)
  • New warfront (same, if we compare this to the torghast expansion and refinement)
  • Collectibles (same)

Way I see it, 9.1 is pretty much on the exact level we’ve seen before, excepting we get new one zone instead of two, but arguably (imo) that zone has a bit more depth to it and there’s more to do in it individually than there was in either Mechagon or Naz individually (whether it’s more than them together I don’t know).
But we also get a pvp revamp and plenty of other stuff. It’s not lacking at all imo, it’s about what I expected.

Same here though older hardware. I get those odd FPS drops that go away when I restart the game. I have 60 FPS in Korthia np, until whatever it is happens that drops it. I created a support ticket for it yesterday:
