9.1.5 Content Update Preview

LOL omg these changes are bad. Ruins the convenant system, it may as well not exist now. Why is it in WoW’s history the players just whine whine whine until we are left with things like class homogisation and them all feeling the same and dungeon finder which killed WoW?

Whichever dev was it who said ‘‘People don’t know what they want’’ is right and you should listen to them and stick to your guns.

I have just read the news on Wowhead and felt that its as if someone at Blizzard made a run on the EU and US forums, compiled the most frequent complains from the players and decided to implement them into the game.
I must say im trully surprized with the amount of good stuff in one 0.5 patch.

… and there goes the WoW is over bandwagon off the rails.
Again.

This is clearly sarcasm, dw guys.

These are all good changes and I am glad they are doing them now.

There is just one problem. The feel of betrayal. How many times was it said the covenants will be an issue? How many times did we complain on beta about the conduit energy.

I personally reported the scaling of legacy raids being completely off. Made a post about it and so did a few of my friends and back then it was “Yeah it’s all good don’t worry” and now it wasn’t all good.

I’m sorry Blizzard, but this can’t happen again. Listen to the feedback EARLY. Otherwise the people who give it to you are going to leave and you are left wondering where things went wrong.

It feels so -so- bad when you go “Hey we got an issue X/Y/Z that should be fixed” only to hear “It’s not an issue, don’t worry” then 8 months later it’s changed because SURPRISE it was an issue.

Again don’t get me wrong. I am glad these changes are coming and I am especially happy about M+ for legion and torghast leveling, but man… It feels bad in a way. I just HOPE they finally learned their lesson, but who am I kidding? Likely not. Out of beta 9 months late.

To those complaining about covenants not mattering now. It was a flawed design from the start. Tying player power to it was a mistake. They could still matter, if only significant portion of your damage wasn’t dependent on your covenant. They’re fixing an issue they created in the best way they can.

E: Also ditch one of the blonde-shades from the void elves and give them black hair.

The changes are nice, they need to now listen more regularly in the future and not because the company has had a combination of massive sub losses and a lawsuit on their hands.

Awesome! Next time please listen to player feedback sooner… would be nice.

Very much agree to disagree.
The whole basis of Torghast is bad to me. I’ve used this term a few times before, but I think it fits perfectly to describe Torghast: It’s bottom-of-the-barrel content.

Some PARTS of WoW, sure. But in Shadowlands the ratio has been way too skewed.

Sure. But I prefer doing world content over other stuff.
But for that to be a thing, the world has to actually be fun.
They failed big time on that with the Maw.

I don’t. I 'member!

Wasn’t that way for me. It was actually the reverse for me. I loved the first parts of Legion, but they made some stupid changes (imo) and then added the worst zones of Legion: The 3 Argus zones. Man, I hated that place.

But as a whole, I loved Legion. The groundwork they laid at the start was awesome.
And people getting butthurt they didn’t get the legendary drop they wanted is just that; butthurt, entitled salty people. I thought it was great. And I loved Artifact Knowledge too.

All these are great. Hopefully on the customization topic we are going to see more (which is pretty much confirmed because they said they will add more, with their focus on Highmountain) such as long beards! #LBFH

Is this the part when we’re supposed to act happy and relieved for changes the community has begged for since the beta?
It’s actually saddening that the game has come into a cycle of “Introduce awful system–>get blastered online for months on end---->ignore feedback and say it’ll grow on us---->admit mistakes halfway through expansion when the player count dwindles—>remove awful system” and repeat!

Anyways, im ready for the bi-hourly grind for shadow knowledge next xpac, it’ll be behind a paywall this time i presume?

So… only play the game for 1 year every 2. Gotcha.

Strange design though, you’d think they’d want us to play BOTH years…

INTRODUCING LEGION TIMEWALKING
Delve back into Legion Dungeons with Legion Timewalking and take on the challenges within, including access to Legion Mythic+ dungeons. This event will run for two weeks the first time it runs within the game and then will resume a regular one-week schedule for subsequent bonus events.

I love how some people are falling, again, for Blizzard’s obvious expectation strategy, which was applied in BfA in a completely similiar fashion.

Let the praising rave begin fellas. Oh the most EXPECTED changes, here they are, the ripcord!

They know you guys sooooo well.

Create problematic systems - Give the impression you’ll, this time, listen to feedback - Ignore the feedback - Pull the ripcord after 12 months or so w/e - Thus, finally meet the expectations - Pull the players back - Repeat the cycle

I am not expecting people to be a marketing expert to see through their scheme but i mean come on guys, could this possibly be more obvious???

Tends to be about 3 months after launch. 9.1 launched the 29th of june iirc, so i’d expect it to be released around something like mid september.

Ofc I see it… but after the year I have had it’s a very welcome news.

Time to focus on moving forward, and I hope that from now on things continue to improve.

People can come here and complain, or decide… do you want to support the game or not?

I continue to support the staff left behind handling the aftermath… not the ones that contributed to the mess we had before.

To the future!
