9.2.5 Enhancement Shaman NEW BUILD PVP Guide Talents, Tier Sets, Legendaries, Covenants

Hi Guys,

I made a guide for enhancement shaman. I began to rank up with my shaman and thought a few synergies could make a great build to play with. I started to play around and I found a great build that people can play instead of the classic things enhancement shamans are used to play since Season 1.

This build is super fun, super exciting. Has sustain damage, consistency and when it crits, it becomes even more deadly than Chain harvest => It happens also alot more often and sometimes, you can even do it multiple times in a few seconds!

If you want to learn more about that build, make sure to watch the video and let me know what you think about !

you need all your maelstrom procs for healing you cant lightening bolt like you do in the video.
also 9k dps on a pve target dummy where you dont press a single heal is not very good dmg.

to be honest i dont understand why you make a guide about a class you clearly didnt play much and are miles away from mastering.

i know you want to make content and i can see that you enjoy it, the structure of your videos are fine too but in my opinion before making guides or tier lists in a pvp game you need to atleast have some experience in playing the game at a higher level. You dont need to be a tournament player but in order to make educational content you need to have the education yourself in the first place.

just my humble experience and i think thats what is holding your channel back the most.

Mate, You don’t need to press all the time healing for maelstrom like you say. You still elemental blast and chain harvest too right? Instead of chain harvesting you throw primordial wave with lightning bolt. Trust me, just try the build and you’ll see the power of it in 2s. In 3V3, it is a viable option, but ofcourse people that are playing with chain harvest might feel it off putting.

I make the experience on the field and I try to push rating at my own pace ( I try to maintain 7 characters which isn’t really great for ā€˜ā€˜speed’’).

My channel is doing perfectly fine mate, but thank you for your concern.

I invite you to really try the build tho, people were saying the same about the affliction warlock build that i’m playing until they tried it and they are now doing shadow bolts up to 40k in ARENA. Chain harvest is still fine tho.

Necro Enh is fun yeah but survivability is still a huge problem for enh. Assas, WW’s, and furys are a nightmare to fight against. If they’re smart they just disarm you while bursting so you can’t generate MW-stacks anymore and you also have no answer against their mobility and cc’s.

Those are very wise words.

I’d echo his entire post.

Please understand that the following words are not flaming, but opion and hopefully advice (as I see that you react very defensively to any criticism even though you ask for it in your initial posts, always).

In order to ā€œguideā€ others you must have been able to ā€œwalk the pathā€ yourself. It appears that you have not been able to thus far, which undermines the credibility of any guide.

A viewer looking for guidance on a class or spec will usually want the person he gets his information from to be successful, otherwise there is no reason to get information from that person in the first place. Both your rating, and experience, do not show that. In order for any guide to be successful the very, very first step is to succeed yourself with what you advertise, and only then do you advertise it with examples, with proofs of success, and with explanations regarding said success.

Right now you lack that ā€œsuccessā€ part (obviously, with a seasonal peak on tgr spec you ā€œguideā€ below 1600 rating), and that just sabotages your entire effort. If you really want to make guides or analysis regarding a spec in PvP, or the overall PvP metagame (if it can be called that way) you have to show that what you say is worth listening to, and the only way to do that is to demonstrate that your words are true by having success applying them. You lack that. If you enjoy making such videos and want them to be relevant, and seen as relevant, then take a bit of time to improve in PvP, and that video making part you like will improve alongside it.

Now if your goal is just to share your experiences messing around with your audience and they like it, then keep going, But if you call these videos ā€œguidesā€ and then ask people their opinions on the ā€œguideā€, you will very often be faced with the answer ā€œthis video didn’t guide me at allā€ as long as you don’t prove that it is worth following. And so, if you want people to consider them as guide and not you messing around in a very low bracket with few to no information worth keeping, then the solution is, as I said, to improve at the game first.

I mean, In 2s you play with a retri and it’s a high pace way to play the game.
In 3s if they disarm you instead of your fury warrior, he is going to have a great time.
It all depends and is perspective. I find the necrolord build alot more durable than the venthyr one.

No problem for commenting on my guides and making it look like the build doesn’t ā€˜ā€˜work’’, but really, Did you ever tried that build before saying it’s garbage?
I’m playing 7 characters and yes, i’m not the fastest climber but that’s not a problem for me. I know that if i’m going for 1 character only, I could climb faster and more reliably but I like to add myself more content and not less.

I can understand that from an outside perspective, it doesn’t ā€˜ā€˜justify’’ to make a guide whne you are still low elo, but I’m not 30% winrate either, i’m just not playing enough with my characters or playing with lower elo friends because I like to just play with my friends.

So please, could you talk about the things I say in the video, instead of ad hominem, because frankly, if you NEVER ever tried the build in it’s current state, you can’t really add to the conversation.

I take all feedback, but I know what i’m doing with my channel and I’m happy to make people happy. People whispering me ingame or even on forums / comment sections / reddit, saying that they find the builds awesome to play and DIFFERENT, makes me smile.
Is it AWC worthy? maybe not? But you can climb 2K4 with any builds really.

Not sure if it’s doing fine.
My brother uploads random Lost Ark PvP vids without editing or commentary and his vids got more views and he is not promoting it on the forums or somewhere.

Regardless, Broxis is right. You need some XP yourself first before educating other people.

Nobody forces you to play 7 characters. Master one first.
How did Bruce Lee say?
ā€œI fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.ā€

I watched a few of your videos and everything was well done, except for the information in it. Just as I mentioned in your last forum post.
Also, when making guide videos, put some actual gameplay in the end. This way you can showcase how your build works and prove if it works at all.
(Most people will probably not give it any credibility because it’s going to be on low ratings but that’s better than nothing. Another reason why you need some xp btw  )

I think you wanted to answer the rogue with that comment, didn’t you? Because I didn’t want to attack you in any way.^^ In fact I tried every single covenant with enh and like I said Necro Enh is really fun and you can dish out some serious dmg with it. It just doesn’t solve the obvious problems of enh against physical melee dd’s. Tbh enh needs an overhaul in regards to their def tool kit. Because self healing as a defensive doesn’t work properly when there are so many classes with ms effects around and they almost all have the ability to prevent you from getting the necessary resources for it.

most of the time you do especially in 3s.

chain harvest is actually a super strong defensive cooldown too.
more lightening bolts = less healing surges and no chain harvest = even less healing = you die very fast

if its so powerful why arent you super high rated with it yet?

ye maybe focus on one character and get some experience in pvp so your guides are backed up with some fundamental knowledge you gained through arena.

You have to realize your build might work at 1500 mmr because legit everything works at these rating. You didnt proof that the build actually works against somewhat competent players so there is no real value from that guide for me.

great tip btw

Yeah the latter parts were for the rogue.
I’m happy that you did play Necro and yes, the weakness kinda stay for Enhance ( but ultimately, they are also for Venthyr, I would even say that it is more apparent).

It’s kinda funny that people are talking about ā€˜ā€˜spamming’’ lightening bolts but no one stated that you needed to spam lightening bolts and ignore healing… Especially since we all play with elemental blast, you still dish out elemental blasts here and there whenever you have an opening outside of healing yourself.
You essentially want to lightening bolt with your primordial wave for maximum bursts ( which can of course crit and make the match turn in your favour) and also elemental blasts to keep the pressure going ( which since you are playing full mastery or close to full) it can crit for VERY high amounts.

The thing is, I’m frustrated that people are talking about ā€˜ā€˜Guides not working’’ when they didn’t apply it or tried it. If you tried it and you have no succes with it no problem right? You still have your main build that might work better for you? Well for me chain harvest is a boring way to play enhancement and since the cd is quite long if you are not playing the snoozefest lego to shorten the cd, then I feel i’m just a chain harvest bot.

With this build, i’m not feeling like this and I have huge agency on how I want to win games. Of course, Enhance isn’t god tier, and this build will not magically make you god tier either. I’m not even saying that it is a better way to play your enhancement, i’m saying that it is my way to play it and that i’m sharing it to the people that want a change from chain harvest ( and that to be frank, I have more succes with this build, which has improved my winrate.)

Also, to the people that are saying ā€˜ā€™ yeah play only 1 character instead of 7 blablabla’’, I mean, Sure, You might be right, if I actually only played one character, people would be less chatty about my CR and would have to talk about the essence of the guide. BUT, I like to play multiple chars to have other ways of playing the game and other outlooks. If I would only play my Disc or my Affli, I would become insane just because of the sheer annoyance I have with facing specific specs that counter my spec. This breaks the monotony and gives me also a better insight for my other videos ( like the discussion videos, the other guides videos, Tier lists and so on. )

Anyhow, We can talk about anything else if you want, maybe about the guide or build or playstyle? and debate on it?
( Mangi, the whole message isn’t for you hahah, I just don’t know how to quote multiple persons lmao )

He isnt kinda wrong. Who said its meta guide?
But both parties have good points :d

Yeah, never said it was better than Venthyr, although for me this build is a win/win.
it’s fun and effective for me.

Might be fun, sure… it’s subjective. But effective…

Have you tried my friend? You’ll see once you have tried. Of course it is a mastery heavy build. If you have no mastery, this won’t make the cut.

the thing is you already tried it and you dont have success with it

the problem with playing many chars but all of them at low rating is that with your guides and tier lists you are just not able to really dig deep into topics like strategies, combs and potentials because you just dont know anything about that. You dont really understand the meta if you not experienced it yourself. Thats atleast my opinion. Really understanding whats going on, understanding win conditions of other combs and classes, knowing strenghts and weaknesses of other combs and specs etc. is really important when doing guides or tier lists.

I mean you didnt say its a meta build for high rating but idk when watching a guide you kinda expect that. Same for your tier lists

Snooze.

Understandable, but you are talking like wow pvp is something super heavy in Microgameplay which isn’t the case. Atleast watch the guide before talking about what’s in it. Like how can we debate on things when you clearly didn’t watch the video?

Tbh, could you fight on the things i’ve said on the video instead about the current rating i’m on? If i’ve said bs, let me know. What I know is, I have people thanking me for my warlock and enHAnce guide because they found a new way to play the game. This gives me enough motivation to continue doing what i’m doing. => Also, i’m just sharing this on the forums, but really, the views I get from official wow forum is so minimal because half of the people are talking about me and not the video

I kinda tried it more or less by accident when I was questing with my rshaman.
It was horrible and absolutely not fun but that’s my subjective opinion.
In fact I specced back to resto and kept spamming my 2 buttons.

He already kinda said it. The damage is too low, the opponents won’t even need any def cds. On top of that you lose out on chain harvest, which is high pressure + heal emergency button for your team.

Maybe that’s the case, maybe not, who knows. What about the people who looked for help, tried your guide and rage quit the game because they had no success with it? You’ll never hear from these guys :stuck_out_tongue:

While leveling? are you joking with me lmao, how is that a fair try?

I said questing, not leveling.
I don’t even need to try it in PvP if it’s already bad at questing

I’m kinda impressed at how hard you are trying to diminish the whole guide.
Again, I’ve played with both builds, the ā€˜ā€˜meta’’ one and this ( actually tried soo many builds because i’m a theory crafter by heart ).
How can you say that it lacks damage when i’m doing more damage on my lightning bolt go ? ( Elemental blast, primordial wave, Lightning bolt)
With mastery my ele blasts goes up to 35k without any crit modifiers like Skyfury.
My lighting bolts if both crit, are doing 30K.
Chain harvest doesn’t crit as high anymore since the nerfs.
This is in actual pvp combat, not on a dummy.
Yes, it needs to crit to do one shot damage, but so does chain harvest.

This build makes you also not lack Maelstrom weapons, since you are a wolf build. You can even exchange a defensive conduit for the Frost shock one, which will give you RNG maelstrom weapon, which is fine if you really have difficulties generating some.

Really, I could explain more, but you can hear it in the guide too. Again, just shows that you didn’t listen to the guide.

So a chain harvest every 1.5min cd is better at leveling? That just shows how little you know.
