In response to the the rumblings concerning Chieftain Bloodhoof’s diplomatic visit to Stormwind, Lady Evenbrook - an special advisor for the peace process with the now-redeemed Horde to will be giving a short address before the Cathedral of the Light in defense of the policy of an armistice, which has now been signed by the overwhelming majority of our Grand Alliance’s leadership and represents our High King’s will to move past the barbarity of these constant wars.
All citizens are welcome to attend on the 6th day of the coming month, as the ninth bell tolls.

On the 6th I’d like to run a one-off event based on the big themes of 8.3 - ie. a riot caused by rumours of Bloodhoof’s visit to Stormwind after the fears of those concerned about about peace with the Horde are stoked to a fever pitch by the dark manipulations by N’zoth and his agents to cause chaos, bloodshed and disunity between the mortal races of Azeroth and ensure the rise of the Black Empire.
Thematically the Old God influence is planned to be very very subtle - ie. there aren’t planned to be guys in spooky robes or tentacle-clad maniacs rushing around. I’d like to run something which shows the more low-key and insidious influence of the void - turning niggling fears and minor doubts about the High King into a riot that swiftly turns to violence.
In you’d like to attend as a rioter, then you’re more than welcome to roll up an NPC alt for the purpose that is ideally a race that is common in Stormwind / works as a commoner character (ie. no Lightforged / Void Elves) and play a low-power commoner that has allowed N’zoth’s malignant influence to stoke their misgivings into hysteria. Again this isn’t meant to manifest as an overt [yells in shathyar while carrying a garrosh axe transmog] - it should appear on the surface level as mundane if not sudden riot. If you’re rolling an NPC character to join in you should be willing to have them killed / detained and not play anything that isn’t down-to-earth. If your established character / main / whatever would be manipulated in such a way / has some other reason that means they would reasonably join you’re welcome also but again accepting the consequences is pretty important
This will be largely free-form but will have one story element (ie. the speech in the cathedral by the NPC “Lady Evenbrook”) and the rioters will (obviously) get subdued / scattered by the end of the evening since they will effectively be NPC antagonists for the law-abiding / more strong-minded denizens of the city

This should be running around 20:00 until whenever it wraps up IC on Thursday the 6th for just the one day (starting in the harbour) and depending on what the IC outcomes are / if people enjoy the experience maybe I will do some follow-up
