The real question is, if 9.0 does let us play cross faction with a joint faction story, what’s the Warcray then? Anduins cinematic cry of “Stand as one” seems to be the way to go…

You won’t hear complaints from me. If we’re to be painted as the shining golden Boys by blizz, then have us headed up by draenei/lightforged and get us engineered into the dubious army of the light 2.0; remaking the world a better place for all (except the long list of races we have a problem with). It’d actually give the alliance storytelling some intrigue and potential villainy rather than just being the courageous reactors to the Horde. Also it’d create potential for internal alliance conflict vis a vis “do we REALLY want to force everyone to be like us?”.

I mean if we got choice between being andiun surrendery monkey alliance, exterminate everyone tyrande or lightforged all must share our believe’s.
I am going lightforged over my own beloved night elves.
I am big on the idea of unification.
Unified in purpose, different as people and individuals.

I’m all for such a stance appearing.
If the next expo is indeed void based I sincerely hope they tap the teased sinister side of the lightforged of their “it’s not slavery if you’re forcing everyone to be free” type stance on “spreading the light”. You see it here and there but they need to up their game on it. Even if Anduin pulls through, giving him some competition for the direction of the alliance would be great. It’d also be an opportunity to give the mag har some much needed lore in their new world as the Horde side opposition to this vein.
For the Alliance worked for Varian, and I was glad he got to say it as his final words. But for the other races I suppose it doesn’t make much sense. I liked Anduins “Stand as one” in the cinimatic though.
Also I remember I saw a machinima once, can’t remember which but the voice actor made a mistake and said “for the Allegiance” that sounded quite weird too.

That sounds like a good battlecry. “Stand as one” sounds more meh than “For the Alliance”

nah lets just copy paste horde warcry, for the alliance??? its hard to make alliance warcry because alliance doesnt have identity like horde does, alliance only have humans

Still for the alliance doesnt work for me.
Meaby it is because i main a night elf but whenever i hear for the alliance i hear:
For the humans of stromwind and screw the night elves.
“For the alliance” would have sounded fine if they didnt make the horde one “For the horde” instead of just “lok’thar ogar” (victory or death). But sadly WoW factions need to be mirrored in alot of places
