[A-Boralus RP] Liars Dice - tavern/shady rp, recruiting

About

The tavern Curious Octopus is run by Two managers. Elerin Az’ariah and Artemis Leander.
The establishment went under the new management quite recently, but so far it seems they are doing exceptionally well. Already having regular patrons and hosting few night events.

The tavern is located in Mariner’s Row district in Boralus and as its position suggests, it is a place for travelers and local workers. Prices are fair, maybe even cheap, and there is even the kitchen offering various local foods with some specialties.

Unlike many other taverns in the city, this one really taking care of its patrons by providing various entertainment such as dancers, bards and a special drink which can’t be found anywhere else - Double Anchormaker. A strong ale with a shot from the unlabeled bottle, which content is already a subject of many rumors.

The place seems to be rather calm, which mostly secured by the presence of bouncers and also by the kind and welcoming attitude of all staff.

Just behind the tavern, there is a tall building which is being used as the office for the management and either the elven lady or the worgen man are hosting various meetings there, talking business and possible deals with suppliers, potential new employees and sometimes, even suspicious individuals, mainly mainlanders, which are always showing an excellent behavior, so any possible talks about shifty deals done there can be easily wiped into nothingness.

Hiring

The tavern is always looking for new promising employees which can work together on providing the best service in the capital of Kul Tiras.

Bartender

Those who are the heart of the tavern. Bartenders serve patrons with various drinks and meals, listening to the daily stories or even the heartbreaking life experiences.
Opening and closing the tavern, bartenders are usually taking various shifts during the week to have some free days and rest and also to earn the quite fair salary.

Bouncer

Those are the keepers of the security and calm atmosphere in the tavern. Watching what is happening in the tavern and acting if there are any troubles, that can disturb patrons. For the most of the time, when no troubles are around, they can help to make customers comfortable by providing a casual chat.

Dancer

Typically girls, but there is no discrimination for those having a talent of dancing! On several days a week, they provide the visual entertainment for patrons. The simple rule is “No touching” as those employees are paid only and solely for the dancing, so do not mistake it for the other sort of ‘dance’ as some might do.

Bard

Bards are providing the tavern with pleasant music and if dancers are presented, they also make an excellent team for a unique entertainment after a log hard work day. Bards are using instruments of their own choice in which they excel and adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the tavern

Cook

Those who provide the establishment by finest meals, showing their culinary art and skill. Cooks are those, who make the experience of patrons whole as their work is to fill the bellies of those who are hungry and providing the pleasure to the finest tastes of anyone who will visit the Curious Octopus with the plan to enjoy an amazing meal.

Runner

By the word ‘runner’, we mean any supporting role in the Curious Octopus. It might be handling the goods in the storage, delivering messages, refilling bottles which were all sold, doing daily chores for the tavern, or, in the worst case, running for the guards when any trouble occurs. The work may really vary, but one is sure - there is always something to do.

We will be doing a small advertising and hiring in Stormwind today at the cathedral Square from 6 to 8 pm!
Selling drinks, snacks and tobacco. And offering fortune cookies to anyone who will approach us!
You can meet two lovely ladies there - Lilly, our dancer and bartender, and Kay, our bouncer and bartender.

From 8, we will then open our tavern in Boralus as usually.

From the morning, the talks are running through the city of Stormwind. This evening, a finest booze will come from Kul Tiras. A certain tavern of a questionable name of Curious Octopus, will be having a stall set in the Cathedral Square, inviting people to come and visit their establishment back in Boralus. Anyone who will approach the stall should be able to buy some local drinks from the Islands and even the rumored Double Anchormaker! Only for those most brave and courageous though. Apart from drinks, citizens of Stormwind will be able to lay their hands on an exclusive tobacco and anyone approaching will get a fortune cookie to ruin improve their day!

One can wonder, if, or most likely who, paid those street kids to run through the city and yell this blunt advertisement. But only those who will stop by at the stall after the sixth bell, might find our the truth. If that is, of course, a truth worth knowing.

The sun was but setting over the endless blue, the heavenly glow luminated the waters as far as eye could see. A see of gold, glistering allure that tempted and edged sailor to it.
A beast of war, embodiment of raw power pierced through the subtle waves - a hunter that will not bow before nature but break it. A charred hull donning a perpetual ebony tint. Forty-Four guns vigilant, the teeth of the beast snaring as a warning to any who would dare come near and the sail. O, the sails. White canvas catching the wind, basking in the radiant hues. Everything from the mizzen to fore unfurled and tensed, abled men, woman and humanoid aboard filled each deck. Lookout and Powder-monkey, all.

Amidst the sound of waves breaking upon the hull and the wind hissing above their heads, a set of doors came open and within stood a man. A man clad in a long ebony coat flowing with the wind around his legs, a red sash wrapped around his waist housing a belt atop it with ample of weapons at his disposal - Green vest and a white shirt beneath it held tight at the collar by a red neckerchief.
The crew halted for but a moment, their gaze fell onto the man albeit each pair diverted back to their duties as swiftly as they latched on.

“How’s she sailing, Mister DeHart?” The man inquired and from above him rang a response.
“Eight knots! At this speed we’ll reach the Broken Shore within five - maybe four - days time.” Replied DeHart, the same bearded gentleman that has greeted his captain prior to their departure.
A chuckle came bursting out of the man, his feet swiftly carried him up the stairs onto the half-deck as he stood by the helm. Hands latching onto the banister- ebony locks flowing in the wind and for the first time in a long time the man could be seen as a child. Excited, proud and full of joy - Joy. Joy of the freedom he has finally earned. There is naught but the wide blue before them, naught a sight around them but the golden waves of opportunity.

“We did it…” Ushered the man donning a grin that no force in this world could wipe. Not now.
Mister DeHart swayed his gaze from the compass and onto the man by his side. A chuckle escaped him just before the words could dislodge from his throat. “Did what, Edward?” He inquired.
“We’re finally free, Lad.” Edward’s hand rose aloft to give the burly man a slap on the back. “After five bloody years we’re free.”

Once the tavern Cuious Octopus opened today and any patrons enter it to take a breakfast or a shot of rum before the work, there is one thing new at this establishment. A wooden board in the dark wood hanged on the wall just behind the bar. And on that, a large sigh is written by the while chalk so everyone can see it properly.

A word is running the streets of Boralus, that there will be a big party in the tavern Curious Octopus today, starting at six bells. A place recently took by a new management is in the Mariner’s Row and the talks speak about having an amazing a nd big party there for this Friday night.
It is also said, that the reason for having such a party is to celebrate the great deal Redwood Tobacco Company made recently. And it is said as well, that the day for the next drinking competition will be set, so the battle between Gilneas and Kul Tiras for the title of the Week’s Anchormaker Champion can continue and find a new winner!
The attire is not casual, but a party one and everyone should take the best partying clothes. Why is this mentioned, no one knows, but according to some, it is a very important information.

Today we created a forum post about our tavern. Except for basic information mentioned here, you can read a little more about our employees, which you can meet in game!

A new rumor has been spread across the city of Boralus, talking about the party next Friday.

A new post about today’s party in our tavern has been posted on our Tavern forum post!

Check the Winter’s Veil magazine by The Lion’s Roar!
Among many other things, our tavern, Curious Octopus, has an advertisement there!

A new post has been added. This time regarding the Winter Veil preparations for our tavern!

A new comment was made on the Curious Octopus post! This time about the statistics for the December!

Had some interactions, not bad.

Our guild is working on a small project to show Boralus in roleplay view. From all other cities, it has the most rich environment for roleplay regarding the wide range of NPCs and items placed in the world.
Each day or two, we will add one more location to discover.

As the Boralus rp blooms, we were caught in more and more stories and plots. That led us to the decision, to limit opening hours of our tavern, so our members have enough time to enjoy rp they are telling.
