A case for other elven race druids, with Lore

Will we see them soon? There is so much material around in the lore they could use to make it happen, frankly I’m surprised it hasn’t come a lot sooner.

Regarding night elves and druids of the flame, I think the blood elves should get druids of the flame, the rebel druids of the flame (who rejoin our side) should somehow take their druidic mastery and like the Illidari did, get blood elf nature lovers who have that fire theme, involved with them.

I’d love to see Nightborne as Valewalker balance druids, trained by Farodin and his night elven Valewalker druids, since it’s a balance druid and mage organisation that is responsible for the Arcan’dor.

Finally I’d like to see void elves come in and help the druids with the nightmare, and learn druidism from there their joint efforts save the remaining Darkgrove druids of the nightmare, restoring them to sanity, and this becomes the branch of druidism void elves mainly belong to.

In all of these, they are all tied to night elven druidism rather than Zandalari Troll or Drust Kul’tiran druidism, because druidism is an elven thing, and all the elves inherited love for nature alongside arcane aptitude from the night elves. So if other elves become druids it should be via the main elven root of the discipline, even if they adapt and make versions or niches of their own.

The separation of the exile and isolation of the Night elves during the Long Vigil may have prevented Thalassians druids from developing as a powerful force once they had fully settled in Quel’thalas, but much has changed since WC3 when the night elves came out of isolation, for starters druidism crossed factions into the horde, as well as demon hunting, both came from the Night elves, to blood elves and tauren.

I can totally see newer Nightborne druids encouraging blood elves to take that extra step into full druidism, and off course, void elves would be all over studying the void effects in nature and finding ways to help Azeroth fight against it with their knowledge, this would deepen void elf - night elf ties which should have other bonds between the two through the night elf Highborne kinship and the black moon sect of the priesthood that utilise night warrior void magic, something the void elves would be very interested in about Elune - and may even yield a home for void elf priests. The Elune religion perhaps being the only one where worship of a good deity can allow for use of the void.

Farodin is a keeper, he is a not a fully druid, and not fully a highborne, he is a vessel of the Nature and the Arcane.

The Nightborne already have had the Druids, they are called the Shal’dorei Naturalists.

Still salty that the Blizzard did not add them, but instead they introduced the Warlocks for them.

They will most likely be added once druid forms for all races are ready.

Shal’dorei naturalists are term for mage druid hybrid.
Felmages in nighthold are literally warlocks

Farodin IS a druid, one who is a keeper, and he doesn’t have to be Highborne, and not all the Nightborne are Highborne, being highborne isn’t a pre-requisite, nor should it be.

You know druid types do work with mage types, in fact that is what has been going on with night elves forever. From the pre-sundering times up to the current one. The Valewalker is just one example, , the building of the kaldorei cities like Suramar are done by Ancients wielding druidic magi alongside Highborne, and even the balance druid tree is half arcane, half nature, and is about the balance between nature and arcane, something that greatly pertains to night elves if you know their history.

I feel Balance druids is the fitting place for Nightborne druids to be mostly focused in.

Shal’dorei Naturalists should transition into full druidism with Farodin and the Val’sharah druids around. Hope it happens soon. they are not fully druids yet.

And when they are playable. off course balance druidism would be where most of them go. Naturalist are what I suspect the pre-sundering druids use to be called before the arts became a class. Farodin would have been one, and after the sundering would have transitioned to Druidism as Malfurion greatly advanced the class and formalised it. He would be the perfect one to lead them to it, especially as he is the Keeper of the Arcan’dor.

Do you think we will get druid forms for all races?

Some could view balance druids as that too, but the philosophy of druidism is not what the Naturalist adhere to entirely, so a mage druid hybrid, similar to the Lorekeepers in Azshara before they transitioned fully to Highborne mages they had once been, is likely what we have here, but going fully to the druidic side. The arcane side of druidism would be natural to them as it was to all the Night elf mages who became druids after the sundering to stop the Legion returning.

I hope it happens soon.

Farodin was part of an ancient order of keepers that was formed by the first of the elven magi, and a small enclave of proto-druids they predated the first druid Malfurion, but they are not actually full druids. Together, they created the arcan’dor, which brought arcane into balance using nature as a vessel. Over time, Farodin’s masters faded away, and only he remains.

Yes he was, but he became a druid after the sundering. Before the sundering the class didn’t exist, so we refer to those night elves as pre-druids, as they followed the teachings of Cenarius all night elves use to follow before they had mostly stopped by the time of the Legion invasion.

Farodin was part of the Valewalker order, is part of the Valewalker order, as a druid, it’s a combo of druids and mages, or rather pre-druids and mages. IT is not an order of mage/druid hybrids, No you’re either a Highborne mage or you’re a pre-druid - they worked together to solve and heal the arcane addiction the night elves were suffering towards the end of Azshara’s reign - mainly the Legion invasion period.

When the sundering happens, Malfurion develops the druid class, Farodin transitions into full druidism, but he is still a Valewalker, continuing his mission, the night elves solve the arcane addiction issue, balance is the key, but it would take a while before the Arcan’dor is produced fully from it’s prototype before the sundering to actually cure it.

Probably, we already have Mag’har and Lightforged warlocks, lore isn’t much of a restricting factor nowadays.
