A Character With That Name Already Exists

Hi

I am trying to login with my character “Estarra” on Emerald Dream, but each time I do it kicks me back out to the character screen telling me “A character with that name already exists”.

How can this be, exactly? Didn’t have this problem this morning, indeed I’ve never had this problem.

I can login with other characters on the same realm, but not this one.

Any ideas?

OK now it lets me in, after like 15 mins of trying. Very odd. Any ideas why this happened appreciated, but not critical anymore

I’m having the same porblem too. I’m now stuck at the loading screen.

how bad are the servers, what is going on, no news from blizz, been going on like this for a week. i dont even want to see what happens on new exp release. upgrade your garbage servers, and stop hogging money and spend it on the actual game tech

Same here, but on only on one character. Infinite login screen and if I force quit WoW I get “A character with that name already exists” notice.

Confirm issue for one char on Maghteridon, having the “A character with that name already exists” error after trying to log in. As well as some load freezes.

yep just got this, cant login anymore, was playing just fine, needed to log a different char and voila, cant …

I am getting this issue with one character at the moment but I’ve also had regular disconnects all day on this and another character, not sure if the issues are linked.
