A Character with that name already exists!

I’ve been like this for couple of hours that I’m trying to login on my character on retail wow.
It always disconnectes me or says that a character with that name exists.

I did the following things to fix the problem:

1. Restart my PC.
2. Used character stuck service and didn’t work.
3. I was offline for 30 minutes to remove my character from the game so I log back in, but no use.
4. Resetted my interface but with no use.
5. Tried to login into a different character and resetted all instences.
6. Tried to scan and repair the game and didn’t work.

Does anyone know a fix for this issue?

This can happen when:
a) You exit the game with alt-f4, because nothing tells the game that you have actually quit.
b) You exit the game via a crash.
c) Your account is compromized and someone is actually logged into it elsewhere (extremely rare).

a and b usually rectify themselves after ~60 minutes of you being offline, but can sometimes require a GM intervention, for which you will have to make a ticket.
c will require you to scan your PC for viruses, malware, trojans, then change your passwords and add an authenticator, and GM intervention to force them offline.

I tried to not login for more than 6 hours and I still have the same issue.
I opened up a ticket, but it seems the GM doesn’t understand what my issue is.
