A Climber's Calling not available

This will probably not work, but I was told to put in a bug report after getting no help from the ticket I submitted. I am going to format it like I did with the ticket and then add what I got from the ticket.

Quest Name: A Climber’s Calling
Issue: The quest isn’t available which makes it impossible for me to complete daily quests and world events that require the skill associated with the quest.

The first response I got told me to look up on WoWhead, which I assume is a standard response, or a bad joke, since that was the first thing I did when I didn’t get the quest.
The second response I got told me to submit a bug report, and I hope this counts as that bug report since the links they send me all goes through the US site and I cannot post on those forums since I do not have a level 10 character on any of the US servers.

This seems to be a bug, introduced a month or two ago.

A Bug Report is really using the in-game Help menu, Submit a Bug. That’s what gets to the devs, and I’m sure they prioritise by the number of reports they receive there, so do enter one.

This topic is already covered on the US Bug Report forum in several threads

Also a couple of daye ago here

Bumping for visibility. Stuck on the same issue. I want my doge. ):

If that’s the case, really cool of whatever AI program I was chatting with to tell me to go to the forum to post my problem.
It wouldn’t bother me so much that this quest isn’t turning up if it wasn’t because it stopped me from enjoying everything this expansion has to offer. And with “The War Within” coming out in about two months, I highly doubt we will see this quest get fixed.

I see a response on US forums to someone who has the same problem

Usually what happens is the character that qualifies for the quest first is the one that has to do it.

If I’m right, that character appears to be your Death Knight.

In Valdrakken, you appear to have a lot of exclamation points calling out for attention, one of those is from Doc Nanners, who has the quest “A Climber’s Calling”.

“the character that qualifies for the quest first is the one that has to do it.”

If this is the case for you, you should try looking for Doc and talking to Pathfinder Jeb on other characters.

That don’t make sense. My Evoker was the first one to make it to the Walking Shores and Valdrakken, so I should have gotten it on them. Unless, of course, they mean the first character to reach level 60. In that case, I have to check if I even have a character at that level.

Well. maybe that isn’t what’s happened to you. Maybe your problem is different.

I would still check out any other 60+ characters.

I went and and organized my characters to see if there were any of them that was level 60 and the was one. However, I haven’t touched that character since Shadowlands, and they still have the “Gear Upgrade” option that most of my characters have since I came back 30 days ago, so I know that character hasn’t set a foot on the Dragon Isles. Anyway, I am going to see what happens if I log in with that character and reach the Dragonscale Expedition, but it wouldn’t surprise me if I have to complete the entire story of Dragonflight first.

EDIT: FINALLY! After getting to Renown 6 with the Dragonscale Expedition on my other level 60 character, I can finally get the quest. This means it isn’t the character that first reach the Dragon Isle, nor reach Renown 6 with the Dragonscale Expedition, but the first character you have on your account that reach level 60. This will probably never be fixed by Blizzard, but now you know.
