The fact that we have seen no Ebon knight (but the player character) rejoin their faction since Legion seems to suggest instead that all death knights of the EB are now fully back in the fold. Unless you mean to believe that your character is also the Champion of Azeroth.
Forgot their names, but in Stormheim you have Forsaken DKs in service of Sylvanas.
And in bfa, you have a female blood elf DK fighting for the Horde in an incursion.
And an Orc one stationed in a Horde Outpost in Tiragarde sound.
I guess he was in Wolfâs den, not sure.
Simply wanted to add.
Faction-aligned death knight and death knight in the service of Ebon Blade are 2 different things.
Yet we have examples of who goes back and forth between Ebon Blade and Alliance/Horde so in the end we do not know.
We handle the situation that members can fight but must do so in the name of the Alliance/Horde, not the Ebon Blade which seems to be quite a common thing to treat it as in the whole DK community.
We do not, unless youâd be so inclined as to share them.
Common =/= Good
Itâs common for people in Goldshire to be ERP deviants, but that doesnât mean we should accept it and pat them on the back for it.
Thassarian and Koltira served Alliance/Horde in WotLK and Cataclysm, then rejoined Ebon Blade, will they do the same again?
We do not really know how it works so as I said we do not know.
They havenât rejoined the factions since Legion. I said so before and youâve yet to counter this point.
Edit: Not knowing is a bad basis for making headcanon.
Obviously they havenât due to no new lore so as I said once more. ââWe donât knowââ.
But its been done before as seen in WotLK/Cataclysm so it seems possible they could do it again, who knows?
You certainly donât, any more than the rest of us.
point seems to be that the only DK we see that is at the same time an EB member and a horde/alliance member is the Champion of Azeroth due to their unique position as the⌠what was it? Diplomat? emmisary? something or other.
Others seem to very much be either/or, rather than both.
Koltira and Thassarian are yet two examples, but as stated before we have no new lore regarding both Death Knights and Ebon Blade since Legion so we do not know.
So its common to look back to what is done before.
I am not claiming that that is how it is now but its just how people treat it and is common within the Ebon Blade community.
And what is done before is that they objectively split off from the EB and had to be re-recruited into it.
So, you agree that you canât be in both a faction and in the EB?
No it is common to leave things as they were based on the last-seen lore in the game, not with the idea of coming up with your own.
But I guess you are not interested in being reasonable, so do whatever you want, Angelus, just stop claiming to be some sort of an expert in any lore-based debate/question.
Please state the source that says Thassarian had to be re-recruited back into the Ebon Blade.
Please state a source that he left Ebon Blade after Legion ended.
I never claimed he did rejoin after Legion so what is your point?
But I would love the quote/say/quest text saying Thassarian had to be re-recruited into the Ebon Blade as that is good to know.
Or was it just made up?

Here you recruit Thassarian as your order hall champion.
I am not sure if you are being on purposely dense in an attempt to justify your headcanon or you are playing stupid.
You and I have been through much together, <name>. Now, you stand before me as Deathlord and leader of our order. I could not be more proud!
The battle against the Burning Legion/Burning_Legion) will be hard fought and filled with peril. You should not embark on this alone, my friend.
I will go wherever you command and I will kill whoever you wish me to kill.
Sounds to me that he was already a member?

âNow that you have recruited your championsâ
The follow-up quest disagrees.
