Omar Wisestar, a Shen’dralar Lorekeeper known for his passion for puzzles and riddles and all things quizzical, has passed away. One of the few to succumb to old age among the night elves with their immortality gone, having no living relatives Omar’s testament has promised his most treasured possession to be passed on to the one who would win the riddle competition the lorekeeper prepared before his death.

As an ancient enchanter and lorekeeper, Omar excelled at warding and trapping precious tomes to prevent thieves and unauthorized eyes from harnessing the knowledge of the rare books assigned under his protection in Eldre’thalas long time ago. It is said he dutifully dedicated much of his life to hone this craft and wrote an exhaustive grimoire on arcane locks, wards and traps; how to create and dismantle them. A rumor has it this might well be his most treasured possession; the lorekeeper wishing to crown someone with all his learnings and grand expertise.
The competition, also an occasion to honor Omar’s memory, will be hosted by the Winterflows, Omar having entrusted the safekeeping of the reward to artificer Serafier Winterflow.

The purpose of the event is to bring people roleplaying Highborne characters together to connect and mingle in a social setting. Unlike the previous Highborne Gathering, this event isn’t Shen’dralar specific – Highborne from elsewhere are welcome to attend as well and likely invited unless they’re known to have become Death Knights, Demon Hunters or allegedly given up on the arcane arts.
