It was a wonderful evening! From the fortune tellers to the trinket sellers, from the joyful games to the dancing all fun the same! Truely this should be done multiple times a year! (as I just don’t want to miss it for so long)
Here are some screenshots I took from the early and late evening, apologies for the mid-to-low quality settings. This laptop tries it’s best https://imgur.com/a/DTxVtuk
We really enjoyed participating in the Stormwind Harbour Market! Thank you to all the generous donations, where the majority gave more than the 20 coppers requested. We saw at least 80 people pass through to help raise approximately 7 gold coins, 78 silver and 40 coppers.
Some of our screenshots are here, I’ve put market ones near the front as we took silly ones later to memorialise the occasion per tradition: https://imgur.com/a/MN9mp1b
I had a lot of fun! The area is perfect for things like this, there was so much variety spread over a long area that it never felt overly crowded to me. Things were easy to find, the stall runners were super helpful and Clovus sold me a haunted kabob.
Thank you so much guys ! This was a success without a doubt
I had so much fun even if i had to leave early because of migraine.
So i am sorry if i was missing out any tells.
My head was not with me
Thanks everyone who came, especially those who were hosting stalls and activities! Some stallholders told me they were exhausted once the market was over, and I can only relate – what a busy night! Yet like Cathode wrote, I personally didn’t feel it was too tightly packed given we were spread over a long area.
Cheers everyone who came by Old Mary’s stall! I enjoyed seeing the different motives that brought characters to purchase some trinkets. Many bought something as gifts. And I think I saw one engagement too!
Also kudos to everyone who were brave to join the dance session! It might’ve left one Isuna traumatized trying to coordinate the dance steps with her fox but I think in general it went pretty well. Might bring these two dances to some future events too.
Cheers to Chester/Ryder who helped demonstrate the dance steps with Mary!
Bless you Dawncastle and Juniperr for the pictures! I managed to take some snaps only near my own stall so it’s wonderful to see the other stalls closer up. Thank you! The Stormwind Investigation & friends group shots looked great fun in particular!
Lastly, I adored it so much when Mary finally closed her stall and started packing up, the nearby characters came to help the tired old lady take down the stall props and load her cart. Small mundane things like that really breathe life into the setting. It was very sweet.
Massive thanks again to all the stallholders and people hosting activities! Without you guys there wouldn’t have been a market.
Big thanks to everyone, who stopped by to learn about their future. Everyone has been very good sports of how they approached this type of roleplay, all the money will, of course, go into my pocket to the charity!
And big thanks to Acrona for hosting the market! Very-very grand.
Thanks for letting me participate! I had a lot more fun than I thought I would, and actually getting to sell some of the more questionable wares I brought was great. Two people bought the Ghastly Kabobs and another two bought my ”awareness potions” ( https://www.wowhead.com/item=131729/zanzils-slow-poison ). Getting to sell a bunch of junk for way more than they were worth was really enjoyable.
Whooey! And I got one too Very impressed with the community and everyone doing their damndest to contribute to a great evening. It was my first time hosting any kind of stall and I’m glad people enjoyed what little cooking RP I could provide! Fen is saying Fen-k you to all her lovely customers!
