A Gladiator's perspective on Warrior in Midnight

Im a 2518 rated (3v3 Arena) current season Gladiator warrior, who also likes to play PvE.

I dont care much about them making the game a bit simpler but removing/hard nerfing the warrior utility is a big issue to me.
Okay i understand stuff like Bladestorm not having CD reduction anymore, maybe its allowed to finally do damage now in aoe.

But why is spear a one time pull, when its a useless bugged out ability anyways but is meant to be very impactful and on a 1.5 min CD. Half the classes have a free way to get out of spear already,

Where are our rootbreaks as warrior ? Battlefield commander is a spec talent now instead of a PvP talent but for some weird reason it looses the rootbreak component, Avatar doesnt exist anymore so you wont have that either on arms (and possibly fury based on tuning), Bladestorm as mentioned isnt reduced anymore so you will have to sit every root and fully rely on your healer to dispel.

What other utility do warriors even have ? in PvP you have to choose between Piercing howl, aoe fear dispel or Warbanner shout. How does that make any sense ?

You wont be able to make any meaningful plays in PvP and rely on your healers even more than currently and and be forced even more into playing Gnome, which absolutely nobody wants as a Warrior.
Simplifying the rotation and removing some abilities is one thing, but if Warrior is already behind other classes design wise and is supposed to have MORE Utility, shouldnt we at least let the stuff we still have be meaningful and allow for skill expression?

I actually like TWW warrior a lot but even right now I wish, as mentioned, we could have piercing howl not as a choice node + Warbanner being its own thing OR at least keep the aoe fear removal before the effect, since you spend your talent point to do it INSTEAD of replacing it.

Warrior could be great, skillful and fun in both PvE and PvP but its utility is not where we should go backwards from TWW but keep it same/ even more engaging if your removing so many other buttons already. Button bloat is clearly not gonna be an issue for warriors either way.

So my suggestions:

  • Keep the rootbreak on rallying cry, battlefield commander or the PvP talent, otherwise the CD reduction PvP Talent makes no sense - the 5% leech is gonna be a PvE only thing and the 30% movespeed dont prevent you from being slowed and rooted
  • Keep Spear being useful
  • Remove the choice node from Piercing howl
  • Let Warbanner shout keep the aoe fear dispel on your teammates, since you literally waste a talent point for it anyways

These changes would add a total of 0 extra buttons, be in line with the “less annoying CC” direction, keep warriors meaningful without giving them anything new and op and offer the same skill expression/playmaking as TWW, while simultaneously reducing rotational/defensive complexity and button bloat.

I agree with everything here.
Also, being CC while charging feels awful, the stun back then prevented this kind of CC but I understand that if they want to reduce the CC they cant give us Charge Stun back, but some inmunity while we are charging would be nice.
I also would like back this PvP talent from Shadowlands:
Overwatch: When you intervene an ally, they gain Spell Reflection for 5 sec or until a spell is reflected.

These are main issues that i posted too but they do totaly different stuff like the node talen choose between berserker aoe fear and piercing howl is pathetic

Just make charge and intervene grant root immunity!

What Warbanner ability are you referring to? Duel?

berserker roar replacing berserker shout
