Hello, so I’ve been working on my PvP side of my Furry Warrior, working on Conquest and its going good so far (If Blizzard Behaves)
Though I can feel a difference with how I handle PvP, I feel my moves and talents could use some tweeking to make PvP more helpful for myself and my team.
Now, I mostly play Quick Play Epic BG or Regular BG, so I’m not really going for ratings. But I still want to make a difference and help my team as much as I can.
So my major question is, As a Fury Warrior, what should my intentions and role be for PVP? What moves should I prioritize, what talents should I pick, what should I do in a match instead of running around, wondering if I should attack/Defend?
I have used a PvP build on Icy Veins, and while it has helped me, I feel that there are some things that might not work too well or I question ‘Why is this here?’ and if the routines really are the best choices.
So I’m taking advise and suggestions on what I should choose.
One of my problems is I often get too confused with too many moves to have to use. While i know to use my buffs and debuffs on enemies, whats a good routine/moves I should use for regular combat against my enemies?
Hi, join the skyhold (warrior class discord server), then jump into #PvP and check the pins.
Once you read those, you can ask the top and bottom warrior PvPers for more advice. Alternatively, you can also search up in the history for frequently asked questions you might have; and watch the videos and guides that has been put out there.
Skyhold is where the warriors are at, the forum is a few old timers and people who want to complain. So in general, no - there won’t be much advice to be had.
If you say something like: ‘Warrior got enough utility, no changes needed.’ They will come crawling through the woodwork.
If you didn’t find what you wanted on Skyhold, then well - you are out of luck my vulpera friend
Yeah, I can try to explain, but it really depends on the meta currently in pvp and what you are facing.
In general you wanna try to prioritize one target vs other melee, but against casters, who can kite, you wanna hit what’s closest and always do damage/pressure as fury. It’s also important to think about when to use defensive cooldowns, when to use offensive ones, when to use cc, and when to use defensive stance. There is no clear answer. You just figure it out by watching others play and playing yourself with a critical mind.
Regarding talents, there are like 4 different builds in pvp that depend on what you are facing. However a general build that works is this one:
As fury your goal ofc is to build rage and to press rampage as often as possible and never have a full rage bar, if it wasn’t clear. Just being good at doing damage will be a lot of help.
If you play into 2 melees or with a DK in team you want to take whirlwind and/or odyn’s fury, so you can cleave all down. In general it’s hard to say everything in one post, but there are a lot of streamers like “joefernandes123” or “whaaz”, who will teach you a lot about warrior, if you just watch them play.
Regarding gear, crafted gear with embellishments are very important and I recommend you to just copy any top player on the solo shuffle ladder for gear:
