A group of 4 is chain banning people from TW dunjs

Hey,

As I was lvling up I got into a dungeon with a group of 4 premade,
I made a joke about the tank using is brother’s account as he was dying over and over.
Suddenly I got banned for 30 minutes and people from the premade group messaged me to say “that’s what you get”. I’m sorry but I wasn’t rude at all ! It was just a joke !
Then I waited for 30 minutes and did some delves the got back into a dungeon with the same premade group and they banned me again 1 minute into the dungeon… without me say or do anything I was toping dps. Now I have to wait 30 minutes more and I can’t even do a dungeon by myself. Is there any way to stop that kind of behavior ? Thats crazy. If I meet them again its 30 minutes more !

Considering account sharing is a bannable offence, making a “joke” that someone is using their brothers account, isn’t really a joke, its an accusation of breaking the rules.

In this case, I kinda feel the kick was deserved.

Thanks for your input about what a joke is

Hey Søldier,

Sorry to hear that you got grouped with the same players, after being removed from a dungeon. While this is not something that we’d take action against, I would encourage you to try and put yourself in their shoes.

Imagine playing with your friends, trying to have a good time, and the dungeon is not going very well. Tanking is already hard as it is, it may be your first time tanking, or you may be nervous when having the responsibility of tanking dungeons. You’re frustrated, this isn’t very fun.

A random player then starts making fun of you. You’ve had it, you remove them. A few minutes later, you get the same player who made fun of you in your group. You don’t want to get any drama, and take preemptive measures to cut the toxicity from your night of gaming with your friends.

Now, I don’t know that it went exactly like that, and I’m only basing this on your post. However, toxicity goes both ways, and it’s not always a case of a “community is toxic”.

All that being said, I do hope that your next dungeons go well. Good luck to you!

It’s not a joke if you are the only one that found it funny.

Deleted because its not worth the effort.

Perhaps ignoring them prevents you from being grouped up with them again?

These kinds of insults aren’t welcome here.

This is the type of joke you make to friends you know well, not random strangers. You’re insulting someone and hiding behind “it’s just a joke”

When stuff like this happens when I’m in the group I click yes. Don’t expect people to play well in random pugs especially low level content you sign up for.

Take this as an insult if you want but in this case that clearly says something about you, not the other person XD

I made the joke because he had a lot of achievement points but he was just dying over and over wich was slightly annoying. I was really surprised so I just said that he should not play on his brother’s account and I could not ever imagine that someone would feel insulted by that. Especially when you consider how toxic multiplayer gaming can be.

Now a Blizzard person just went on the record in this topic saying that you can ban a person you don’t like for 30 minutes from any dungeons / raid lfg activity including solo and keep doing this over and over. I’ll just say this is a curious stance and an even more curious system.

Stating a fact isn’t a “something about me” not knowing what an insult is and why it’s not ok to say that to a stranger is.

Having to have people explain to you what an insult is should be alarming for you?

I have very thick skin but that doesn’t mean people should tolorate you speaking to them like that if they don’t. It’s a computer game I don’t feel fragile enough to insult random people I don’t know in a game.

You’ve explained something that’s perfectly obvious to why you got kicked and I’m kind of in disbelieve you don’t understand why.

Most people grow out of the “it was just a joke, man!” defence, by the time they are 15 or 16. But I don’t think customer support is the right fora for this thread to continue, personally.

stop flooding this topic. Blizzard answered already

Don’t think you know how a forum works? What’s wrong did your big brother let you use his pc today? (Bet you now see this as an insult?) See my point?

Hope you do. Will make you a better/nicer person to pug with.
