He opened a portal, he typed “help me summon” and it teleported me to another area and I got deserter debuff.
I know I should expect this, but I think this shouldn’t be allowed. Very stupid…

It’s always hilarious to start a bg with fewer players than you need.
I remember 1/2 a raid tp’d out of an AV because of some shared quest.
…& tbh, the peeps with deserter debuff were better off.

This is almost funny, but it’s not because like you say new players also the victim is always going to be a player that’s actually trying to be helpful.
People are just annoying sometimes but at least you won’t fall for it again.

Same thing happened to me years ago and a GM told me action was taken.
Edit: make sure to give them the Name/realm of the offender as well as a time stamp.

No, he can’t. He did nothing wrong. OP clicked the portal. It’s 100% his fault.

Thats nothing. I think in Pandaria Blizzard added a fake dalaran portal that would teleport you high above the dalaran crater that would lead you to death

No. Playing the game is not against the ToS. You are wrong.
Then you learned your lesson and won’t make the same mistake.
It’s just a game, you didn’t lose your life. Get over it. Blizzard won’t ban someone for playing the game.

Happened to me once when i was a newbie, laughed hard, and kept playing, it´s just a joke.
When all you want to do is some pvp, getting locked from the game for 15 min isn’t exactly funny

What have we come to? I think this is one of the biggest problems in WoW. People lost their humor and are now crybabies about anything.
Yes, you got trolled like a newbie. You learned this so you won’t do that again. A few months later you would laugh about it.
This is how people were reacting to it back in 2006.

If you had 600 days played I would assume you knew you can’t summon players into a rbg/instanced pvp content. So his motive was already fake.
Like I said, a normal player would just laugh it off, chill for 15 minutes and that’s it. No need to make a forums post about it.

I’m curious. How DID he actually do it? I assume you clicked a summoning portal, but how did YOU end up being summoned OUT of the BG?
Or did you go full peanut brain and clicked on a mage portal?
