Death is merely the beginning upon a new path, that the Highlord taught us after the will of the Lich King were shattered and we vowed to destroy the very being who shackled us to chains beneath his maddening will.

After the Lich King was defeated, because that is all he were… Defeated. He still lives on by his twisted crown that now rests upon another and his legacy that he bestowed upon us, his Knights of the Ebon Blade carries on no matter how much we deny it.

When the Burning Legion threatened our world with chaos and destruction we, Knights of the Ebon Blade took on us the duty as Protector of Azeroth and by our twisted yet powerful magic used upon the battlefield against the endless masses of demons we stood victorious and saw the demonic invasion to an end by the combined might of Azeroth’s forces.

Now we stand at the brink of destruction once more by the never ending conflict between the Horde and the Alliance with their warfare turned to whole different level by the usage of Azerite that spreading across all of Azeroth.

We, the Knights of the Ebon Blade must once more step in to secure this world and see the threats of the world to a end as we are the deadliest of tools to vanquish these foes at hand.

Introduction:
Knights of the Ebon Blade is a Community created to unify roleplayers who actively roleplaying as a member of the Ebon Blade faction.

To make it easier to access lore, learn what it means to be a Death Knight and just overall get in contact with fellow roleplayers.

The overall focus is on connecting people so we together can strive in roleplay both when it comes to casual roleplay such as logging on and randomly do things but also to brainstorm together and get events running so long term get a good feeling regarding the direction of things heading.

While the Community do have two guilds both on Horde and Alliance, we also using Battle net to allow people who do not wish to join a guild to be part of the Community as well.

The Community is going to be run by a Council which each Unit have a acting Commander that leads in battle.

That way the leadership of the Community isn’t limited to guild members only and we get a wide view of what people within the Ebon Blade sees in different situations.

We are also going to create a IC group for the Ebon Knights who actively want to fight Sylvanas so they can aid the Alliance warfare without official Ebon Blade involvement.

Name and Community group is under construction and will be updated when fully sorted out.

These ranks are used both within the guilds. The Ranks are based after several NPC’s and exist to give some feeling of rising in ranks.

What we are looking for: We’re looking for Ebon Blade members which consist mainly of Death Knights but we are open to other roles such as

Former Cult of the Damned / Cultists overall which may be everything from shadow assassins, to plated combatants to necromancers. The Cult of the Damned had many tools in their arsenal and we are looking into scavenging what remains of the dying organization.

In short cultists can pretty much be any race/class as long as it fits the darker theme.

We accept Darkfallen (San’layn) who seek to find a new purpose under the wings of the Ebon Blade similar to the group of Darkfallen in BfA that sought out membership in the Horde. (Need to be using the Void Elf model)

We welcome both Forsaken and Dark Rangers who may be losing faith in the Banshee Warchief with her war against life itself and may seek better future within the Ebon Blade.

Geists are also welcomed for scouting / assassination.

We also offer the possibility to raise people into Death Knights but it have some requirements behind it which can be discussed.

The list may be updated with more roles in the near future and these roles require specific backgrounds to suit into the story so do not hesitate to contact us if you feel like you’ve a concept that could work within the Ebon Blade.

View on the Scourge: Our view on the Scourge is that our pact remains dormant after the Legion been defeated.

The Lich King proved himself a powerful ally and still to this day we value him for what he did but ever since Legion he have not been seen to do anything or give any commands so we wait until further lore been given to act out as his ‘‘Will and Enforcer’’ as seen in Legion.

But we do respect that there are people who roleplay as Scourge and we consider them allies and we will roleplay and have meetings with them but they will not part of the Community.

Rules:
We pretty much have the standard rules of behave and remember that roleplay is about cooperation so be polite and respectful towards fellow roleplayers but to add few specifics ones.

  • Activity: We do not demand you to be extremely active due to we are a community who respect people have lives outside the game and we are adjusting ourselves after that but we expect communication between all members to inform us how your activity will be and if you’ve to be offline over a longer period we appreciate being informed beforehand.

  • Uniform: We do not use any uniforms we only require people to wear the Ebon Blade Tabard to represent the faction around the world. You are allowed to use any weapon and sets as long as it remains logical for a Death Knight, preferably if it is a Death Knight ish set with Runeblade.

  • Metagaming: We do not tolerate Metagaming within the guild. Your character may have a bit knowledge in history and alike because they read a lot but we do not want people who knows everything within Azeroth nor hear how you take Out of Character information into In Character from other sources. It will give you a warning and if continued, kicked.

  • Godemoting: We do not tolerate Godemoting due to our most important task in World of Warcraft is the make it enjoyable for all parties and Godemoting ruins a lot of joy. We accept some people may be new to the game and we will help you learn how to emote properly but if you’re warned and continue to Godemote you will be kicked from the community.

  • Community Manners: You have been accepted into our community and we expected you to respect that what you do now will affect our name tag. Always treat your fellow Community Members with respect and other players on the server while being under our roof. If you’re caught breaking our rules and ruining our community reputation you may be warned but can also receive a kick right away if proof is given and depending on the case and level of the committed deed.

Glad to see another Ebon Community! But remember, it is not the only one as the Onslaught is as well covering cross-RP for the Ebon Blade!

Though, there is already a Discord made for Death Knight RP (standing for long now.) but, it will be able to complete both I suppose!

I have full respect for what the Ebon Onslaught stands for and offer and I look forward to future cooperation between both communities in near future.

While your community aims at Ebon/Scourge Union, we prioritize the Ebon Blade ideals and values which I feel like is often missing within said community.

But I honestly have good feeling that we both will go along well and build up a great and active community both in the Plaguelands or where ever we both decide to spend our time.

Edit: As stated earlier our Community and Discord is purely aimed towards people who are active members of the Ebon Blade due to they are spread out over both Horde and Alliance, between more neutral figures and those who wish to fight in the faction so we wish to extend the cooperation and involve more people into the roleplay.

I’m too tired and a little tipsy at the moment to make a proper comment. Will do tomorrow. And since I no longer RP really with my DK and got no stake in the DK RP community, I can say a few things that others, being active in the DK RP community, reasonably would not say.

Bolvar sacrificed himself by wearing the Helm of Domination to save Azeroth from being destroyed by an endless number of mindless ghouls. In the end he did a good thing, even after being tortured by Arthas.

My opinion on Bolvar is that he is preparing something for the future. No one knows why he didn’t control the Death Knights to suicide themselves.

He was always like: Leave or remain here forever ; which made me thinking. Since no one was visiting the Icecrown Citadel anymore, no one knows what’s happening in it.

Anyways, you did a nice presentation for the of future guild. This will make more people to join from The Alliance and The Horde as well.

The idea of fighting Sylvanas is a pretty good one and I think it’s a pretty good idea as well. Sylvanas was always bad after dying then being revived into undead.

If people from The Alliance and The Horde will accompany us we will end her existence and we will not have so many troubles on doing stuff in Azeroth.

This future of the guild it’s a pretty good idea and I give it a thumbs up. So well done.

The Community as whole stands neutral since the community represents Knights of the Ebon Blade as a faction.

The ‘‘Anti-Sylvanas Squad’’ as we call it atm until we get a name confirmed will be those who want to fight her with the Alliance and possibly a Horde rebellion if it leads that way.

But no one will be forced to do so.

It is a very important aspect we will value is that your characters opinion as a member of the Ebon Blade will be respected as the order itself have not taken side in the conflict and the ‘‘Squad’’ will be acting outside the Ebon Blade.

So instead of working with and helping to consolidate an already fragmented community, you pump out more “projects” slapping the “for the community!” label and thus, intentionally, further divide the aforementioned community.

How else can you become an important pillar of community?

Honestly I do not recommend Angelus’ lot, nor himself as a leader in the first place. Constant back and forth changes, weird lore statements and these quite obvious attempts of being self-important is not something I’d consider a healthy reputation to uphold when you try to run a community.

You are just doing it wrong, Angelus, and you do not seem to learn from your mistakes.

I am not dividing anything as we are focusing on a different aspect of the Ebon Blade.

I respect Arindha and the Ebon Onslaught with their ‘‘Union’’ with the Scourge but that isn’t a fully accepted view by the Ebon Blade community and we are the community who do not want to see this ‘‘Union’’ and focus on the Ebon Blade instead.

It is very clear that Arindhas community is the ‘‘Ebon Onslaught’’ which is both Ebon Blade and Scourge working together which is completely fine and we are a community built solely on the Ebon Blade.

In the end it is matter of perspective and we choose a different path really.

First of all I am not doing this to be ‘‘a pillar of the community’’ nor a boost for my personal ‘‘ego’’.

I did this change due to my guild wanted to go this direction and I agreed on it and we took our time to prepare.

First I kept it Alliance side only, people complain (included Arindha and Sylmarien)

Now that I listen to feedback and open it up… I am a bad person and try to ‘‘split’’ the community.

Please come with constructive feedback and as stated earlier we are open towards cooperation with fellow Death Knights, Guilds and Communities if they so wish it.

Another thing @Sylmarien. There is a DK Discord, and the Ebon Onslaught Discord. We are not stepping on any toes. We a Ebon Blade community which anyone who RP as a member of the Ebon Blade are free to join in.

We have a Death Knight Discord, and the Ebon Onslaught Discord and I do not agree with being in a Union with the Scourge nor do a big part of the Ebon Blade Community.

That is the reason why there are a ‘‘split’’ as you mention.

We are focusing on the Ebon Blade as a faction, while Arindha have a union of Scourge members and Ebon Blade members which is all cool and nice.

As stated earlier we have two split views on the community which you are well aware of and I respect that you want to be the part that is closer connected to the Scourge but honestly all Ebon members do not agree as you saw on the meeting they actively killed your ‘‘Scourge ally’’.

This is just different perspective and we focus on the Ebon Blade fully.

Sir, can I have proof in ten characters or more as to the Ebon Onslaughts alledged alliance with the Scourge. Not to take the wind out of your sails but i’ve spent sometime around them and the closest they have to such a thing is a Second Generation deathknight whom quite firmly swears by the Blade.

As the second in command of the Ebon Onslaught I’m quite surprised to hear we’re a scourge guild, Angelus. It’s certainly news to me. Could you point out anywhere where we say that Ebon Onslaught is meant to be a union between Ebons and Scourge? In fact, the closest thing I can find is

A: Of course! After all, the Knights of the Ebon Blade are still ‘allied’ with the Scourge. But, you shouldn’t claim it highly. After all, if you take such a decision - it is because you have an idea in mind, don’t you? Just - be careful and clever!

which, as you can see, still tells Scourgies to be sneaky as all hell.

Frankly, the only reason you seem to be trying to force in this separation is because you don’t like the lore of Legion, which is… well, a rather bizarre reason to try and split a community, don’t you think?

The Ebon Onslaught is a project of the Death Knight/Scourge RP Discord

I never said you are a Scourge guild, but Scourge Union since you are promoting Scourge in the community and having Scourge members in your guild ranks.

And that is completely fine, I find it nice that a Ebon guild focusing more on the Scourge side of things but we just don’t agree on that path hence why there are two ‘‘Communities’’.
