Only people I’d see want to really intervene enough are N’Zoth loyalists or Sylvanas loyalists.
Yeah, or again, the races that lost their capital/king and a lot of lives.
Good lord. Anyway, let armor take this one off my hands tomorrow.
One tomorrow? Hmm the op post does confuse me a little bit. Does it mean one occurred on the 5th last month, or tomorrow? Because it’s phrased like it’s in past tense.
You’re very negative about roleplay for a random offrealmer.
They are ignorant bystanders!
Well he used to be from here, even used to rp. Heck, he might still do so on alts, its been ages since I spoke to him. So he’s not that random an off-realmer.
As for the actual initiative, goodluck and stamp of approval!
Like the Forsaken/human reunion in Arathi, maybe this could be a night elf/nightborne opportunity. May answer questions each have concerning why they remain with each side.
As per a post in another thread, doesn’t rp and isn’t subscribed.

I shall bring as many highborne and as much wine as I can.
Like that kid who makes an a*s of themselves and storms off from the rest of the party. Now they find themselves watching from outside via a window, folding their arms and frowning at everyone having a good time.
Some nice, constructive talks would make tasty roleplay for sure. Are there some dedicated diplomats and otherwise tactful individuals? Some volunteers should keep the peace, too.
As if people will be roleplaying a diplomat on a daily basis. Unironically it will be like some random bunch of -soldiers- acting as diplomats cause that 1) generates RP and 2) people need to feel important by attending that and if that makes them break the character - then why not?
Other than that it is kinda ok thing to do, but to remove conflict roleplay from the get-go is never a good way to do it. If anything it just incites people more to provoke the others once that rule is set.
I might come and attend on my DK if all the paladins won’t be pepeclowns and scream ‘Reeeee you exist!!’ my way; purely to act as a peacekeeper. (Reason being that she can easily sate her eternal hunger if anyone breaks the rules :^) )
Alas, this sounds great and I really hope I can make it with my hectic schedule.
I think a diplomatic event should have people willing to actually negotiate and discuss, rather than just have them insult each other. Not to say that you can’t have the guy who wants to instigate a fight, but if 40 people that want to instigate a fight show up vs 20 people that do not, it’s going to be a hell of a failure.
I believe dutiful guards, which diplomats can rely on, should be hired to make sure conflict doesn’t escalate. Like lawful good paladins and so forth. As for those who make speeches, they can be high-ranking officers or diplomats or normal soldiers which received orders from above, for all that matters. As long as they discuss in a smart way, without going “so, about that Dalaran purge…”
I think a potential pathway of discussion would be forming economical ties, even if within small groups. In the Varian comic it was implied that the Alliance’s economy misses some of the elements that the Horde does and vice-versa. And trading in semi-hostile lands in the future might bring a lot of interesting RP.
I’d say…
Proceed with your event.
Let it play out organicly.
Keep the OOC problems to on-site wrist slapping and talking it out in preferably /w
Lovely idea. I fear it’ll be swamped in numbers by blue side compared to red though. Perhaps on first occasion having an allocated number of Horde / Alliance sign ups would be an idea?
I don’t trust them. They say they’re lawful good and then state that the Horde should be kept in labor camps!
