This is a great idea. However, I want to use this first event as a trial to see what can be improved on and the like. If the event this month proves to be too chaotic, then I’ll be sure to implement this idea for the meeting in December, if this one is successful enough!

And a point on the discussion of conflict at the event: I didn’t create this event with conflict in mind. Obviously, given the topic of the meeting, conflict can’t be completely avoided, but I don’t want it to be the focus of the meeting. As long as it doesn’t prove to be too big of an issue, then I’m happy to let it happen. Like Sindri said, I’ll let it play out organically and sort OOC problems in whisper.

Well, when I said lawful paladin I was thinking about that Paladin Hero in the first level of the Warcraft III night elf campaign (the guy who is later killed by Tyrande).

When there is infighting between a grunt and a footman, he basically says “shut up and do as you’ve been commanded by your leaders”. He doesn’t express his preference (most likely he doesn’t like the orcs, as he doesn’t even adress Thrall by name), he just goes ‘duty mode’ and prevents infighting.

i can be your diplomat if you like

Diplomats do not wear grey. The colour is even more neutral than beige!

grey like my morals

This event sounds like it needs alcohol.

Hmmm agreed Ortellus should represent the Alliance. That would be extremely primal and immersive roleplay

Sadly can’t turn up to the next one. Got work at the time and a co-worker was attacked with a knife during my time off for BlizzCon. They weren’t hurt thankfully, but I have seen this person before and his cronies so I have to be on “watchdog” duty.

There’s no peace in the Middle East…

Of Kalimdor. No literally look on the map it’s the most Middle Eastern region of the continent.

Yikes!

Stay safe, dude.
I hope it all goes well.

That must be troublesome.
Do you think your coworker could do something about it? Like denounce the guy? Or that would be worse?
Either way, safe travels!

Also gratz for having been in Blizzcon!

Wasn’t actually at BlizzCon itself. I just took a week off as sometimes work has shifts that start at 6 in the morning, and as BlizzCon extends into my nighttime, I wanted to avoid such early shifts occurring during the stream.

But yeah the guy hadn’t done anything like this before, so we are all keeping an eye out. The boss knows I have a bit of a keener eye for offenders since we work in a retail shop, so I tend to spot suspicious folks.

Tonight is the night, see you there. My friends!

'twas fun! :tada: :champagne: Hopefully the band of dwarves wasn’t too much to deal with, and as much as some of ours wanted everything to turn into a drunken brawl, I’m glad it didn’t.

Thought it was a grand ol’ time! Hope to be able to attend another one in the future. Would be interesting to see how things developed over a series of meetings.
