You play a game with dragons, gods, undead where magical creatures are born from the center of planets and you think a Hunter having magical bullets doesn’t make sense?
Hunters have Arcane Shot for one already but currently MM hunters are absurdly good vs Cloth but terrible vs plate. Maybe this is blizzards way of attempting the Rock Paper Scissors that originally used to balance game however only applying it to a handful of classes is wrong.
MM needs ways to penetrate armour in order to be viable in the longer run… Armour reduction shots just makes them even stronger vs cloth so it HAS to be magical damage…
The problem is Pets have become very powerful damage over time mechanics that you cannot dispel or avoid that often apply mortal strike.
It would be the same as Affliction Warlocks being able to dot you around pillars, not being able to dispel those DOTS and those dots also applying Mortal Wounds.
in addition to cluttering the screen, it doesn’t offer a happy gameplay for everybody in the game.
And what about ret palas? are u sure they feeling okay now? a lot of classes just ignore u
How about boomies? frost mages? they got big damage, a lot of survival and utility

Cause a lot of ret players stop to play that class…
like holystrike, u even cant even hit thru blessing of protection, cause u doing holystrike (like physical damage with all abilities but u cant hit when rogue use COS, so u feeling like idiot half baked half reworked class.

U know how its look like??? its like hunter on classic, u got 20 yard range with Templar Verdict, sure, all casters slow u, root u, cc u and hit u on 30 yard range and u just feel like idiot who got trolled
Absolutely agree. I see 2 ways to “fix” MM that are in line with the fantasy:
give them “find weakness”
make bleeds a bigger chunk of the damage
But straight out magic damage instead of physical would be weird. Arcane shot feels strange enough on an MM hunter as it is. I’m not a mage or balance druid, how did I summon this energy?
This would balance game regards blizzard overtuning its dmg to compensate against armor and not becoming op against low armor. It would simply make more sense to give them armor penetration than increase their dmg constant sky high resulting in poorly balanced game once again. Its what they should be doing instead of just flat out dmg buffs. Blizz keep doing senseless dmg increases and we see these comps like mm,sub,disc again that do same than fdk,dev,disc type of comps that oneshot ppl through all their walls by doing 500k dps combined. And then we have people asking mm to do magical dmg instead armor penetration on top of it all lol, ppl have no idea how bad the game is and they are not helping asking for more dmg or else that just makes no sense.
