Yeah, the botters have become pretty bold and cocky because they know they won’t face any consequences anytime soon. Before, they used to log off or disappear if you caught them or messaged them, scared of getting banned.
But now, they just don’t care. They’re always around, 24/7, and don’t react to anything. All they care about is making as much money as possible, confident they won’t get banned anytime soon.
Blizzard saved money by getting rid of the real game masters who kept the servers clean and the players happy, and then replaced them with useless/soulless automation. Now, they even make money from the botters before banning them with these “ban waves” instead of reacting promptly to ban them before they ruin the whole economy of the server…
Damn, do I miss the old Blizzard and the gaming atmosphere from the early 2000s. It’s all about the cash now, as the “top dogs” realized there is money to be made in the gaming world. Got to keep those investors happy, not the paying players that helped the company to grow in the first place, all those years ago, right? (Yes, if it sounded bitter, of course I’m bitter about it.)
Recently the gaming industry has become one of the largest markets where customers are treated this poorly, and it’s even expected and tolerated these days, just mad… Any other product or service and they would have gone bankrupt for sure. We really need to vote with our wallets; it’s the only way they will listen, period!
As for the quality of their content in recent years, I’ve had very low expectations for Blizzard and SOD for that matter, but it has been the most fun I’ve had in WoW for a long time. It has/had a lot of potential, but they clearly don’t respect their players enough to balance things out and ban the cheaters.
GG, good ramble into the void, with the delusion that Blizzard would actually see, listen and do something about it. I’m out to play something else. Cya.
