A Lot Of Players On SL Gladiator Mounts Seem Trash

TBC-andy, actually. But I guess anyone that points out the irony of your post is wrong in your eyes.

Pointing out that the majority of people on SL gladiator mounts I come across seem like hot garbage? Okay sweetie.

Which just makes it all the more interesting you dont have one yourself, that’s the whole point.

You tried to use this as an arguement earlier of why you dont have the mount, but you’ve never managed to push high in 2s either, so what gives?

Eitherway, good bait post, will be fun seeing how it derails!

Because egotistical sewer dwellers like to bring up rating in order to somehow feel superior because they’ve accomplished nothing outside of a game. Not only that, in classic PvP forum tradition, even if I had SL glad mount nonces like you would spin it around and try and say I’m calling myself trash.

Also saying it’s bait. If anyone is trying to bait, it’s you, champ.

That’s a lot of ad hominem after being called out.

So what does this say about you, when you’re doing the same thing while having accomplished neither and trying to devalue what other people might be proud of?

There’d be no need to spin it, if you’d made this post while having the achievement yourself, you’d be doing it, but again, I never stated anything negatively about SL glads, just that it was devalued a bit from what it once was.

But if you’re looking for a shot back, it took this much inflation for you to only manage Rival.

By attempting to have a normal discussion, that you immediately took personal? You’re either trying to bait, or rating matters more to you than you’d like to admit, since you immediately get so offensive.

So as said, good bait! (Unless you’re just a salty scrub, in which case the post is truly sad)

Pointing out that people are bad and running around on gladiator mounts isn’t devaluing anything, because it was never valued to begin with.

What does this mean sorry? Really confused by this. Although, don’t expect much sense, you’re probably one of the people I’m talking about in my OP.

Pointing out inflation has been so messed up that 2.6k is gladiator mount, meanwhile top PvPers are sitting at 3.4k. Okay.

Edit: Nvm, found your toons. I can see why you’re defensive now

Not gonna read whole topic.

Yes gladiator as achievment is way easier now than before. Still i find it kinda cringe that career 1.8k player are talking like that xd

You could play without binds and get more rating than your peak last ssn

what is so hard to get here?
people that normally wouldnt be able to get glad got it last season because rating was so inflated. regarding to u these people are bad. still u didnt manage to even get rival II in 2s last season even tho the cr was that inflated. so how do u come to the conclusion that ur better then these people?

so why do you care at all then?

Whether you reach 1600, 2400 or 3600, be proud of what you achieve and don’t let anyone come and tell you to feel shame about it. Just aim for higher if you wish, or settle with what you have and be satisfied, it’s all personal value in the end regardless.

No issue admitting that I haven’t gotten the mount myself, got my discount 2.1k enchants and am more than satisfied.

I will however say that the account-wide Gladiator mount really has lead to some head scratching. I know that when season 2 started I was initially pretty intimidated whenever someone ran at me on their Glad mount.

I very quickly came to learn that the majority of them probably just abused whichever FOTM oneshot gimmick was rampant at the time with a bit more determination than I could muster and that in reality they’re no less of an 1800-2k hero than I am.

I mean wasn’t there a thread where someone proved like 30% of all gladiator titles were boosted players. But also the mount is account shared so they can just be playing on an alt they are not good at or playing with bad gear, which a lot of people underestimate how big of a difference it makes.

Thanks for the actual decent reply, as usual. But I agree 100% with everything you said. Probably the reasoning behind it

As for the less informed people in my thread - 1.8k is elite transmog set. I have 0 reasons to climb rating, especially when the gladiator tabards and enchants look absolutely atrocious. I think far too many people got offended by my jab at their non-prestigious mount :woman_shrugging:t6:

Did you shelve Annie? :frowning:

Since when did WoW become a single character game?

Dude it wasnt an attack

EDIT:

And tbf, its fkn hard keeping more than one char up fully up to date if you dont have a bundle of time.

Didn’t say it was? But I know you were trying to be clever thinking you somehow UNVEILED my true identity. You can go to Check-PvP or many other third party sites to see anyone’s characters

No I just liked your Annie-avatar. If you think im out gunning for you, you are mistaken. I say what i think to people straight out and dont dance about.

Hard to tell when everyone on the PvP forums is trying to sarcastically/snidely give remarks. Apologies if that wasn’t your intent.

As for gearing, true, it’s time consuming. I usually just bare minimum gear my chars, get 1.8k for their elite sets (if I like the set) then log off until next season. I’m too lazy to even grind the rep for the second 291 legendary.

Don’t have time for that anymore. Or at least, I do, just choose to do something more enjoyable

I guess thats only your subjective
opinion.
Its true that the inflation helped alot of people for reaching glad, but that doesn’t devalue their avm or effort for doing so.

I played over 1.2k games this season, with several chars between 1,4k and 2.3k mmr and in sum gladiators are overall just better than the „average“ player.
(I faced gladiators everywhere)

Dont forget that there is an insane gap between the people who „barely“ reached glad and pros aswell.

Therefore you shouldn’t be surprised if someone gets offended by your post.
