The feeling you describe in your post is one that I understand very well, and I too saw my guild dwindle over BfA, which meant I went on a break for a while. But, with a couple of friends we’ve decided to give it another go for Shadowlands.
We’ve got a small group of players who have been together a long time, and we could use players like yourself. From your post I make up that you are a dedicated player, and that you have a good sense of what you’re looking for.
I’m going to drop the link to my recruitment post here and hope you will contact me so we could perhaps discuss this some more. I get the impression we have a lot of similar feelings about the game and guilds
