Elralyn sat in her quarters, down in the lower decks of Thornstrike, the Sparrows’ trusty, bright-purple and sparkly ship. (It’s safe to say there won’t be too many stealth-based sea missions). A quill in hand and parchment upon her desk, she looked around the four walls of her sanctuary as she began to write. The waves at Stormwind harbour were rocking the boat just gently, it was calming. Soothing to some extent.
For once, there didn’t appear to be much urgency to her writings, yet her face told a different tale; a look of both confusion and concern. Afterall, the Captain had been away on a treasure-seeking mission for quite some time, which led to her and Aryn seeking extra contracts to keep the others paid - Even with the small and trivial tasks, such as finding lost kittens or old women that got stuck in trees somehow. Usually the big income jobs required a lot of travel, to be away from most kinds of civillisation. It made contacting Laura difficult, especially during these times of war.
But somehow she’d reached out her feelers enough to have some kind of answer from someone. The letter rested next to her own parchment, an old Elven seal at the bottom of it. It certainly explained the confusion and concern, especially when the sender was supposed to have died many moons ago. Her eyes wandered around the cabin again, then settled on the letter once more. She hesitated, clearly, but finished up her response and sealed her own letter in return. An accepted job to the far-off lands, peril and ghosts of the past, it would seem.
The Rowdy Sparrows are still recruiting! If you’re an oddball adventurer that throws caution to the wind in hopes of coin, glory and exploration then look no further. The guild is taking jobs in Stormwind for now until next week, when we set sail for fail in the Broken Isles!
