If that’s how you want to interpret it, who am I to stop you?
For someone claiming to have confused people with fancy words, I found your grammar more confusing. For example, semi-colons… are they really necessary? You didn’t use them correctly a lot of the time.

Besides which, forum posts tend to be more conversational, which is a lot more difficult to write out like an essay but easier to understand in general.
Yesterday, many of you will have noticed that the wording of my posts was a bit overpowering; this was meant as an exercise is showing that while I can (use overpowering words), I generally choose not to.
That said, I’m pretty certain that anything I had to say was lost to many. I get that to those not in the UK, it’s highly unlikely to be the kind of English they’d teach in school, but it exists.
What I hoped to achieve, but feel I failed to do, is show that while some players in WoW don’t do harder content, it isn’t because they can’t, it’s more likely that they don’t want to, or otherwise choose not to… for fear of not living up to others’ expectations, maybe; a factor of gaming that many fail to see they impose on others.
While for those who have completed - for examples’ sake - Heroic or Normal Raiding, say they are easy, so it can be said of anything that you do on a regular enough basis. However; those who don’t do organised Raiding regularly, may find the content a bit fearful… and no-one should belittle this feeling. The same applies to the higher difficulties of Dungeons.
For the Community of the game to get along better, more of us should be looking to include those who feel their readiness to do this kind of content is not quite reached or to encourage those who may feel they no longer have what it takes to do this level of content, that would happily have done 5 or 10 years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I admit there are Communities - thank you Blizzard for imple… adding the system to the game - for this purpose, but some may feel that these may not be the exact places for them.
To sum up; using big words, that you do happen to know the meaning of, is one thing, but if you feel that doing so makes you not fit in, then why do it? If you are used to it, it may well come naturally, but it doesn’t mean that anyone else is comfortable if you do. Even a game world has a large variety of people in it; making them feel like they belong isn’t as hard as many make feel it is, some just make it look like it’s difficult if they don’t want to do it.
OHHAI dar m8 ty for the most xclent posts, I r of teh opiniunz dat ur words r relevant to mai intrusts.
I always try 2 make teh best of teh situationz I find mahself in. I wuz so inspyrd I r teh murderer of Argus. I dun gud no? perhaps it wuz teh way I approached mai grandma?

Are you aware that languages are not static and they vary greatly over time?
You sound too west country for an orc.
Try to be a bit more hulk smash clappy smiley “orcy did biiiig mashmash”
Gurt lush mind.
I completely agree that there needs to be room for everyone of all skill levels. In fact, I believe it is of utmost importance that players of various skill levels are spread out into various levels of progression.
I also believe that making sure there are enough people at all these points in the progression for everyone to form groups and relationships and advance is equally important.
Further, there should always be a compelling reason to wish to advance to the next area, and that reason is usually going to be new content, which is why I am railing against all this scaling, because it robs the game of exactly that aspect.
As for your grammar yesterday… I didn’t notice, but I did notice I had trouble reading them. Just went back, and I still kindda do…
I don’t mean to be rude (although surely this will seem that way), but I don’t think it’s because you were using fancy words. Rather, you were using some pretty broken grammar.
Let’s take a random sample:
As one who feels that Loremaster of the entirety of the game a more than fruitful pursuit, having done so, both pre- and post-cataclysm on this character, I find little the current game offers to be lacking.
That’s really hard to read. Try this:
As someone who feels that getting Loremaster for every area of the game to be a more than fruitful pursuit, I have already completed that achievement on this character, even including pre-cataclysm zones. As a result, I find what little the current game offers to be lacking.
And I’m not sure I got that right…
Ohh so thats the reason for your robot nonsense in my post sorry but i aint one of them smartie pants like u
Just words… Just a game… Whatever. In the end its all about communication and that is a two way process. If by being clever with words you exclude those that read/listen then you fail to communicate. Your loss.
But hey I’m borderline misanthropic so why should I care.
Looks like I made it worse starting this thread… oh well, another tick in the ‘waste of time’ column.
Misunderstood, either way…
It’s not sad, it’s melancholy. Dawg, pls…
Here have a , no clue what you’re on about, but enjoy.
There are times when I wish that I didn’t have the memory/mental capacity I do; many times I see it as more of a hindrance than any benefit.
I look back & see that 5yo me reading English to German phrase books wasn’t exactly… normal (?) - alarm bells should have been ringing, but they didn’t.
Fast forward 45+ years and a (delayed) diagnosis of high functioning Asperger’s makes sense of so much… but does little to comfort me.
And it’s statements like this that make people roll their eyes.
@Lanie: if you’d been in/around some of the mess my brain gets me in, you’d agree too.
This is devolving into miserable reading (not just from me, either); can I call for it to be locked, please?
Meh, I’m out, anyway. What it’s devolving into is a therapy session. And ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat.
We could go in an endless loop, won’t change anything.
You’re welcome to your incorrect opinion!
Lacking the ability to understand the difference between an argument and an actual debate is the reason why I would refuse to participate, needless to say, you’re going to have an incorrect opinion regardless.
Why would I bother.
Have a pleasant day!
No, you’d still be wrong.
No, I’m welcome to mock yours.
This isn’t a debate. You barged in on one with your silly “arguments” based on absolutely nothing. Your first assumption was wrong, you couldn’t back it up, then you dance around the subject trying to get the last word. Really great “debating” skills you have there, well done.
The only thing “needless to say” is pretty much everything you’ve just said.
I’m not quite sure why you’d embarrass yourself further, either.
You too.
Usually it’s more like “why is he trying so hard”…
Dont make excuses for people to hide behind. The simple truth is that nobody can be perfect to begin with regardless of afinity. Whatever content is now easy for someone was once hard for him too. They simply moved past it. Visible improovement is part of the games fullfilment and so is any challenge that people accept.
Thats not just a thing ingame, its universally aplicable with the exeption that the game offers the same exact potential to everyone. Wanting to get better at something and accepting that the current situation is not the desired endresult is the first step and owning up to your mistakes comes with it. Thats what people who want it easier face in the first place.
Its not something anyone else can fix by holding their hands if they are not willing to change. Nothing will come of it but the next “insurmountable” hurdle.
I don’t understand what do you mean by “overpowering” words? If you mean words that most people don’t know then why use them, or that phrase to describe it? You know that a lot of posters here do not have English as their first language so just stop using them.
There are always simpler words to use, I find that those who use 100 words when 5 will do need to learn to do exactly that. Don’t ramble on.
It’s not big and clever to make people look stupid. Like changing implementing to adding.
I did notice a multitude of grammatical mistakes in your post. Perhaps you need a refresher course on it?
