Kinda predecessor, or better said combination of night elf and troll in new race. Hope to see more customization soon.
I personally don’t mind.
Adding high elves to already running blood elves, void elves and high elves (tho unplayable) it’s kinda meh … you can just put blonde hair with blue eyes and you have your high elf looking elf. Also adding high elves would come with question if they should be part of Alliance only. If yes, then we need to add new race for the Horde too.
Haranir can be shamans and druids (my two favs) so I will definitely will be having one

THAT is my argument. That they look better.
Do with that what you may. It doesn’t really matter to me one way or another.
people have asked for them.
void/belf already in game
yeah writers do not have a say …

Ugly?? You’re rude.
I loved Haranirs since early TWW.
If you dont like them. Then dont play Haranirs

I quoted what you said. You said they’re called Blood Elves and Void Elves on Alliance side. But whilst that’s true, it’s not the entire truth, because there are High Elves who are still simply High Elves. Omitting that is not being fair to the argument.
That’s again some statistical evidence you pulled out of your rear end.
Do you have any more crap up there that you need to get out?!

Harronir’s look better than most of the races, id main em if i would have care to get into this expansion at this point prolly not
The ship for High Elves has sailed. I’m sorry you can’t accept it.

There are.
But is that enough to make them a race? There’s not many ‘pure high elf’ individuals left.
And making them an allied race would feel insulting to such a lore heavy, history rich race like the high elves.
The lore just doesn’t justify them being a base race.
Agree with everything. Keep it coming
To be fair, the Void Elves aren’t that many either. I’d have been fine with High Elves if they hadn’t introduced the former. But because of it, there is no longer any viability for them as a race, especially when you can aesthetically embody one.

I acknowledge that. And I don’t think I’ve said that I don’t accept it or indicated that. You’re the one who seems to not like the negative opinion of others. Maybe you should just accept that?
Anyway, I’ve simply presented the opinion that Blizzard are making some questionable decisions regarding new playable races in WoW.
In my own humble opinion, the last ones Blizzard have done have been pretty bad. Actually, most of them have.
It’s like there are some obvious races that would be fan favorites, but because they’re so obvious, then there’s some manager at Blizzard who wants to feel smart and clever by doing something else that’s unique and different, and therefore we get races that no one really wants to play, rather than just doing fan service and giving players that which they’ve actually asked for.

Forced comment. Not buying your antics
Embrace the void already you pesky elf.

Well that is your opinion
Lore-wise there aren’t any more than a few dozen Void Elves.
They’re a small group of exiled Blood Elves who were corrupted by the Void in a ritual gone wrong.
They are extremely few.
Yet they’re an Allied race.
It’s not like lore population has ever mattered in regards to what can constitute a playable race. It would be weird if it did.
I don’t really see how it would be insulting what so ever.
What would insult you about that?

That… is kind of the larger point I’m referring to? WoW has had too many lazy reskins of the same model. Orcs/Mag’har. Gnomes/MG. Tauren/HM. Dwarves/DI/Earthen.
At least Haranir are something unique in the same vein Zandalari, Kul Tirans, and Vulpera were. Even if they don’t appeal to you personally.

Void elves an an allied race.
Not me. I don’t care.
I’m not into elves.
Anyway, I don’t want to continue defending my stance.
I’m not invested.
Nice talk though. I’m going to watch some videos.
The Harronir are Night Elves with tusks and ruffled hair and Druid forms woven into their racial shapeshifting.
In that sense they follow every other “allied” race design philosophy, which is to make use of existing models.
That would likely have held true for High Elves as it holds true for the Harronir and every other race Blizzard have done since they introduced Allied races.
A marketing name meant to infer story context into the feature, i.e. recruiting them for the faction war, doesn’t change the fact that Blizzard have approached all new playable races the same in terms of production and design.
That’s fair. I’m honestly not too invested either. Quite happy with my Void Elf. I just find Blizzard baffling sometimes.

They’re visually unique. They just share the Night Elf skeleton.
It’s not a comparison to High Elves who’d just be blue-eyed Blood Elves with maybe some different hairstyles to give them flair.
