Cause it’s beyond stupid to add a 3rd belf clone when the other clone can look exactly like a belf.
Let’s get some original races, I’ve had enough of stupid things like stone dwarves, elftrolls and something that is supposed to be a dragon but looks like a goose-reptile with down syndrome.
Where are the Vrykul, where are the Ogres? Why aren’t they at least trying to do one race that isn’t a bipedal humanoid. Just try it.
Why, because of YOUR opinion? Give me a break, and throw your crystal ball away, mystic Meg.
Again, if you want to be a high elf. Go void elf, make your hair blonde, and change your eyes to blue. It’s really not hard to do.
I will say what they should do though, is implement more hairstyles for all races. Especially elves. We’re lacking longer hairstyles. Long hair is kinda the staple of all elves in any form of fantasy tbh.
Let me try to answer as much as I can with one “general” reply.
Correct, but we also have encountered those variants in Outlands as friendly quest NPC’s and hostile (under the Illidari), often Alliance, exception being the Ashtongue Deathsworn as they are raid rep faction.
My bad, I stand corrected, it has been a while.
She did offer a willing surrender, those elves were put in containment inside the* Violet Hold.
So murder is fine?
Other than their stake in the purge of Dalaran, they followed the orders from Jaina, who as I stated before offered a surrender for the elves. The one that resisted got killed or captured.
It is considered a controversial practice that goes against the Horde’s ideals of freedom and often occurs in secret or in specific circumstances.
A Night Elf was called a Highborne when they belonged to the ancient, magically inclined upper class of the Kaldorei empire, a term they adopted themselves to signify their noble status and magical prowess, particularly after Queen Azshara made it official. To say their affinity for magic wasn’t* a requirement and call it misinformation, shows how misinformed you are.
Refusing to change your race’s name doesn’t make you a traitor. That in itself is a weird statement to make. Lor’themar didn’t exile them because they refused to change their name, he did it because he couldn’t see to rule a kingdom divided.
Passage form Wowpedia:
Lor’themar arrived at his destination, the Quel’Lithien Lodge that he and his fellow Farstriders had many a time visited as heroes of their people. He was greeted by the cold response of the quel’dorei rangers present, and after a harsh exchange with them, he threw down his weapons. Lor’themar requested an audience with a former comrade - one Ranger Lord Hawkspear, and Aurora Skycaller. It was granted, and Lor’themar came face-to-face with the embittered Hawkspear and Skycaller. Lor’themar revealed that a number of the Sunfury had returned to Quel’Thalas, and Hawkspear asked as to whether the return of the prince’s forces meant Lor’themar was here to apologize on behalf of Kael’thas. Lor’themar said that would likely be so, if the prince was still alive. As a shocked Hawkspear heard the tale, Lor’themar painfully told the story of the fate that befell their scion, and Aurora concluded that the Sunwell had thus been returned to its people.
I didn’t say it was bad, but I did say it was bad when it actively killed living beings. I supported the Blood Elves drawing upon fel magics via crystals, but not to suck it out of a living being. Demons have in wow lore become the big bad and by any means to get rid of them or “use” them would be justified, doesn’t mean it’s ethical.
Not a sub race. Blood Elves ARE high elves, in all but name (and a bit of a different culture by now, sure - but biologically they are still high elves).
Blood elves and Void elves are the 2 mutations of high elves.
I don’t see any point to add High elves when we already have BE and VE, unless Blizzard wants to add HE as a neutral race that almost looks identical to BE and VE.
Mutated is not what I’d call it, from Night Trolls to Kaldorei I’d call it evolve.
From Kaldorei highborne to High Elves (d)evolve as the lack of the well of eternity or moonwells changed them (lore wise) and the only time I think “mutated” can be used are the ones that became naga.
Blood elves are defined by their paler complexions than the high elves and their green eyes
Void elves, in my humble opinion were just quickly crafted and lack lots of lore. All we know is that they got void touched, “changed” by the void and that both Blood Elves and High Elves joined their ranks.
I think void elves was poor writing on the story team their part. But I figured they didn’t see another way to add a race that would be competitive in the current and potentially future expansions against the big bad (“the void”). I just returned after years, lots of lore has changed, I’m still catching up.

The issue with Void Elves (and Haranir) is that they were added without much introduction and then had a lot of exposition later on to justify their existence.
The Void Elves showed up out of nowhere at the end of Legion and Blizzard’s writers really tried to shoehorn them into the War campaign in BFA. It looks like with K’aresh and Voidstorm they’re trying to rectify that.
Maybe Harandar will do the same for the Haranir, but as it stands, I have 0 interest in them
