A question about spec specific drops on old raids

I was wondering if that 2H sword that drops from Agrammar still needs me to go there with 2H sword compatible class or if I can possible get the drop on other classes as well

should drop on any character now right seeing as loot isnt bound to spec when its legacy loot. i got it on dk in bfa or sl but i dont know if its different now.

I think you do because it’s special personal loot kinda like bonus rolls. Can’t confirm though.

I farmed the fel holy hammer from one of the legion raids and I read it that it is only obtainable by classes who can use maces since it is a personal loot. However, that was before warbads so they might changed it how it works,but your best bet is to farm it with classes who can wield it.

What is that fel holy hammer you talk about?
In any case I am leveling my plate wearers to lvl 80 to get them to work. Though they can probably do it on level 70

The hammer drops from maiden in Tomb of Sargeras

Evoker
SV hunter
ret pala
arms/fury warrior
frost/unholy/blood DK

Can all get the sword to drop in antorus.

I need to also set the loot spec to something specific? oh boy, then it was probably bad I had it set to prot

according to a comment in wowhead:

Now, they can be obtained and added to your collection by any class without restrictions, making it easier to complete your collection.”
