Does darkness https://www.wowhead.com/spell=196718/darkness works on me too? I know it works on the party but what about me?The one who actually casts it. Does it apply to me too?
What about people who are not in the party? The description says friendly targets which implies it should work on people outside the group.

Hi, darkness affects all friendly players that stand in it. Be it yourself or any other friendly players. Be that they are in or outside of your party/raid.
Simply put, if you stand in the friendly darkness you are protected by its effect.
Note: Some dev decided effects ignore darkness by their design.
