[Not to be confused with a certain retinue that also wears green]
Hello Argent Dawn,
The Eyes of Elwynn is a ranger/hunter guild of sorts though not exclusively. We are seeking anyone who will answer the call of the wild or simply wishes to protect the kingdom by way of the wilderness, to become agents of law in the chaos of the forest.
Do you hate Gnolls, Bandits and Murlocs? So do we!Want to emulate Bear Grylls minus the urine drinking? We got you covered, with a wilderness adventure system! We may also have an off-game RP hub, The Green Elk Lodge (online), on Discord, once things get underway!
Budding roleplay newbies are welcome and we will show them the ropes of RP etiquette and Lore.
Through this guild, I am planning a project that will hopefully make Roleplay more visible in the outdoor zones, starting with Elwynn, so players new and old, IC or OOC will actually see RP and may join and perhaps become inspired and join in on the fun!
Classes
As mentioned the guild is not Hunter exclusive, though I expect a majority might be. Many characters, regardless of class may offer interesting twists in roleplay and may also have a wild spirit and the wish to defend the Forest of Elwynn from the ravages of war and crime.
Here is how the the other âNon-huntery, non-natureryâ classes may fit in:
- Warrior: The Gnoll Slayers, the wall of the Elwynn, the blades that bring criminals and monsters to justice.
- Paladin: Become a Green Knight, sworn defender of the people who live in the forest, seeking to purge corruption that hides in the wilderness.
- Mage: Perhaps you have spent too long in the library and want to study in the outdoors where the magic ley-lines are, or study how the Arcane affects nature.
- Priest: We need healers and chaplains to bless our armaments and offer prayers.
- Rogue: May also be considered Rangers as they can equip bows and use camouflage as a method of stealth
- Monk: Some martial arts are inspired by the movement of beasts and perhaps the tranquillity of the forest offers a better place for meditation and training.
There will be restrictions on the dark classes. Though they may have their own skill sets that may prove useful for wilderness RP. I wonât go out of my way to recruit them
-
Warlocks must be of the âuncorruptedâ variety, The Eyes of Elwynn may need experts of sorcerous craft to rout cults and corruptors alike from Stormwindâs provinces. Few people will actually admit to being a warlock, if theyâre smart, merely a student of cosmic forces.
-
Demon Hunters Perhaps they are looking to exterminate corruption of any sort. Becoming a âWitcherâ like character or something?
-
Death Knights, seem antithetical to the concept of the guild. We already have one and that might be it for now.
Races
All races may join, I expect mostly Humans, there are no restrictions on races.
Uniform
Anything green, brown or other earthy colours or nature-like designs to look the part of a ranger guild. Though just the tabard will do if you do not have the transmogs, we are not super strict on this. Perhaps rogues could wear the leafy druid shoulders for a ghillie suit transmog?
Activities
Day-to-day Roleplay and events may include a list of activities such as:
-
Partols and Scouting: Become the silent watchers of the wood perhaps clash with criminal guilds like Brigands or Defias, etc.
-
Wilderness Training: Get to grips with roleplaying in the wild. Similar to military drills and combat training events.
-
Lore and Etticate Lectures: Give newbies and veterans alike a refresher on Lore, and perhaps suggest ways to improve the quality of emote and background. No more using âwouldâ in the present tense!
-
Questing: Become a quest giver! Enrich the questing experience and create an incentive for new player characters to roleplay!
I hope I have evoked some interest in this guild, if so please contact me in-game! I am happy to answer any questions!
Campaigns
We had been involved in two RP server campaigns
- Relic & Ritual [PVE]10th - 15th Aug [Stranglethorn] Solo joiner I provided covering fire and tracking for spies!
- Kalimdor in Flames [RP-PVP] - 24th Aug- 1st Sep [Desolace] We were scouts and set had traps all over Desolace, Rambo style, to slow down the Horde troops!
Deeds
5th September - Rescued two guardsmen from Stormwind City Sentry who were attacked by bandits wearing red masks (Defias guild). The Thieves were pushed back to allow the Guardsmen time to escape to the city.
