[A-RP/] đŸ» The Ursine Court of Bearcliff

“For a millennia, have the Bear-kin walked the prosperous woods of their home, wherein shelter, home and protection have blessed their lives. Many a man and woman from the land of Three-Lances and Red Roses travelled to the Cliff in the southern mountains on a quest for purpose, coin and glory. Their swords, wisdom and bows pledged to the Bear-lords, through the ages, where their footsteps have echoed in the halls of the Gilded Den, on the silent shores of the Lake, and fought in the fickle frontiers of war, which with the reign of the Reformer have turned to the Northern courts. Steel kept in scabbards, peace and unity in their hearts. For an undying dream.”

  • Taken from the 12th Chronicle of Bearcliff recalling the First Formation in 41ADP.

The House of Treiller

A long-standing dynasty, the roots of which connect to the very rise of Gilneas and the first clans moving to the new land from Arathor. For centuries have the Treillers served their Kingdom from their noble seat in the southern mountain valley of Bearcliff, at the end of the Gilnean peninsula. Their legacy and history has mostly been formed by the deeds of warfare and loyalty to the Greymane dynasty, both in the courts and in the Royal Guard, which the House has supported since the body’s formation. Politicians, soldiers, commanders and conquerors have borne the Treiller name on the fields of Azeroth. In more recent times, with the lead of its current head, Lord Arnaud, the emphasis now lies on the untiring administrative work over the wellbeing and lives of all people under their influence, while having embraced the new dawn of their Kingdom.

Unity, Progress, Peace. For the Three they stand, having abandoned the ferocity of their past.

The Ursine Court

The Ursine Court of Bearcliff, established by baron Arnaud as a retinue and Bearcliff’s benevolent hand to contribute to the reclaimed northern kingdoms and the Alliance at large. A hand that assists its allies and civilians to rebuild, and whenever the foes of humankind rear their heads, it’s ready to draw steel to defend the foundations anew. The retinue also serves as the Barony’s acting body of representation on foreign affairs and expeditions. As for internal affairs, it cooperates with the Council of Bearcliff and the barony’s military to ensure the wellbeing and safety of its citizens, as well as takes on any missions to gather vital resources to further the fiefdom’s goals and progress. Whether that takes them to places unknown or the lands of their allies, their shared determination will find a way.

The fellow visionaries who find themselves beneath the banner of the Golden Bears stand not only for Bearcliff and Gilneas, but for themselves and a new gilded era of peace and prosperity in the northern human lands.

RANKS and POSITIONS

A wide range of people from various trades, from swift-footed couriers and civilians to knights, mages and those of the Faith. These are the compatriots beneath the Bear’s banner. OOC

Hello Argent Dawn! The guild has existed for a good while already, but it’s about time I make an actual forum post for us. We’re a smaller scale noble retinue guild that focuses on:

  • Various elements from adventure to politics and diplomacy
  • Creating our own storylines and plots for the members and the Barony as a whole.
  • DMed events 1-2 times per week outside of campaigns
  • A DnD style system used in events, focusing on character sheets, stats and passives.
  • Community RP in the northern hubs

We believe in making everyone seen and giving them some spotlight and for the sake of being able to do that, we won’t aim to form a large guild!

We’ve been busy wrapping up a 2 week campaign with the Order of the Broken Sword, our closest allies.

The Campaign has left both Bearcliff and the Court in the grasp of great damage, so last night we officially did the Second Formation of the Ursine Court, welcoming in the new recruits and embarking on a new phase: to work towards restoring the two destroyed settlements in the Valley and reforming the Court.

As a part of our OOC reform, our rank system got updated and is now available in the top post.

We’ll be taking December more chill due to the holidays and campaign recovery, but big things are ahead for 2025!

Yay Bearcliff!

In all honesty though, biased as I may be, it’s a great group of people. We’re always open for chats with anyone, co-operation, trades and oh so many other things.

We look forward to seeing you all! :bear: :two_hearts:

The Bears have returned north and tonight we rode from Stromgarde to Bearcliff to prepare for a campaign starting next week! The maritime expansion will have its start with our seabound journey to Kul Tiras, where we’ll seek out the expertise of the shipwright-house of Hawthorne, the old allies of house Treiller

Our recruitment has been closed for the time being to let the new members settle in!

Does your Guild Leader run DMed Campaigns , where he almost kills his own character by accident?
This one does!

The moment the recruitment opens up, come and join us. I, being one of the newer people to join, can whole heartedly say this guild is a wonderful place to be!

See you soon! :bear:

From the tourney grounds of Gilneas City to the wintry mountains of Alterac, February has taken the Court far and wide, and we finished the travel-heavy month off with an excursion to Kalimdor, where we managed to set up some good ol’ trade.

We’re returning to the North tonight for the last events of this month and to co-host the Red Tournament in Stromgarde next week. See you around!

Met this lovely bunch at the Red Tournament in Stromgarde.
Then I joined the Bears up in their home for a small event chain with House Stannard. War Games were had. War Games were fun. Until they weren’t! Bandits and thieves tested our teamwork and fighting skills! Come along for the fun, stay for people.

Take my word for it. Its a lot of excitement. See you in the north!

Thank you so much for hosting the Knights of Briarwatch at the Bearcliff revel. It was such a fun night, I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Truly a night to remember!

The Court itself will be making their ways over to Stromgarde for the coming gathering of orders, nobles and adventurers to address a growing threat in the region. While recruitment is closed, these next two weeks is set to be a blast for roleplay and would be a good time to meet!

This guild is excellent, with a roster of kind members and forward-thinking RPers, who each have a part to play and importance to the guild’s makeup, alongside a guild management of a passionate and supportive duo! If you enjoy feudal life roleplay while keeping positive vibes in an active discord, this one is for you!
