[A-RP] Covenant of Lordaeron - Chivalric Order RP

My Brothers and Sisters, we stand united under the sacred banner of the Holy Light. I am filled with profound pride and unshakeable resolve. Our journey has not been an easy one, yet we have not failed nor faltered in our Faith and holy Mandate. We have been tested and, akin to steel, we have been tempered. Our faith and unity remains stalwart and driven by purpose far greater than our individual selves. The Covenant continues to heed the clarion call and honours the memories of our weighted history, battles fought, and sacrifices made. With such though we inspire to strive ever onwards to the future to fulfill the Light’s righteous duty, for we carry a future of prevailing justice as the Lights Instruments. Our Light Deliver us” - Dame Lucretia Wyrmfyre

Overview
The Covenant of Lordaeron is a renowned and revered chivalric order committed to the principles of the Holy Light, providing protection and aid to those in need. Under the leadership of Dame Lucretia Wyrmfyre, the Covenant has undergone significant transformation to distance itself from the corruption that once tainted its ranks under her brother Solomon. Now, with a renewed focus on humility, justice, and service, the Covenant’s members, dedicated paladins, skilled healers, righteous warriors and knowledgeable scholars, work tirelessly to support communities in distress, and provide a mobile bastion of law and order. Driven by the Three Virtues and Five Wisdoms, the Covenant’s objectives now exemplify their dedication, as they offer succor born from medical care, food, and security in the name of the Church of Holy Light, rebuilding trust and showcasing their unwavering commitment to their noble cause. The Covenant’s history is marked by both triumphs, trials and tribulations, yet their current endeavours reflect a resolute return to their founding ideals, serving as beacons of hope and righteousness in a world fraught with darkness.

OOC:
The Covenant of Lordaeron is an old Guild, what’s been around now since 2010. Because of that the Covenant has changed, as older role-players might remember the Covenant as more of a Para-military force rather than a Knighly Order. As PvP-RP isn’t as frequent as it once was, the Covenant has had to adapt and evolve. We seek to recreate a nice and friendly environment where everyone can invest and enjoy their RP. We do not follow the strict, regimental style as we have previously employed before, but instead we place more of an emphasis on our knightly order. We maintain the same level of faith and dedication towards the Holy Light, and this is reflected in the Covenant’s Codex of Rites, Prayers and Canticles etc.

Do we have a uniform?
Yes we maintain a uniform. We use the 7th Legion Warfront set. Alterations and personal customisation are allowed to be made, given proper clearance and dependent on your individual role within the Covenant itself.

Who do we recruit?
We recruit Humans of all denominations, Dwarves, Gilneans (Including those afflicted with the Worgen Curse) and Quel’dorei (The latter being very dependent on the role-player). There are restrictions when it comes to classes, as we do not suffer any trace of void and fel users within our ranks, nor do we accept Death Knights or any semblance of the undead.

What does our schedule look like?
We host events that occur in different locations. We also take part in server-wide campaigns, be it RP-PvE, RP-PvP, and most anything in between. Our events are usually scheduled for a weekend, as this is when the majority of our roster is most active.

How can you find us?
We can be found in Cathedral Square, or at Westbrook Garrison (when South). When beyond the Thandol Span, the Covenant can be found in myriad locales; however, Stromgarde remains an ever-present bastion from which one may find our traces. If you can’t find us in the locations mentioned, please reach out OOC’ly by whispering any of our officers in-game.

“Four score and seven years ago…”

Well, it has not quite been that long, and yet it feels as though I have known these chaps since their inception well over a decade ago.

A more solid bunch of lads and lasses you simply could not ask for, both in terms of community, Role-Play and nigh every other aspect that makes this niche of ours such a delight to be involved with (Most of the time).

Be you knighted and true, a page or squire seeking to further their chivalric journey, or simply one striving to belong to something greater than themselves; you will find no cause more worthy to dedicate oneself to.

Highly recommend this guild! Jolly good fun for all the years I’ve been a part of it!

Esarus thar no’Darador!

So why do you not recruit gnomes at all? If you’re harking back to the days of the “old Alliance”. The gnomes have been around since WC2.

That’s fair, you’re completely right. I can give a number of IC reasons to justify, their size prevents them to truly participate in Covenant drills and formation etc. The truth of it is though we’ve always just found Gnomes rather goofy haha
