Introduction: We are a role-playing guild that strives to create immersive stories and enemies through the raid warning system in the game. The guild’s theme is exploring adventuring heroes.
Who are we?: The Crimson Talons is a small guild with a friendly community, we like to sit back, relax and just have a good time with what we are doing. All of our characters a different from each other mostly as we have some characters that are more on the renegade side of things but then we have some characters which are on the paragon side of things which can create some diverse solutions to problems which result in discussions through the role-play in order to come up with the best solution. It’s our goal for the players to drive the story, not the dungeon master. One of the ways we try to make it more immersive is by having a selection of NPC that are used as recurring characters.
What does the guild do?: We use a very simple rolling system with the raid warnings in the game, there’s no need to worry about creating a character sheet or anything like that. It’s our goal to make the events as immersive and player driven as we possibly can, we try to achieve this by using a chapter system. So each chapter that we do has a different theme and a different goal. It’s our aim that each of our chapters are a different challenge for the characters to overcome.
What can the guild offer me?: As stated above we like to try and create immersive stories and events for the people in the guild. We offer something else, we offer personal progression to your character. This means that you as a player can have a DM all to yourself or with a small group to tell a story, get an item. Whatever you desire really for progression for your character. We also try to have personal missions which tie in with the main events of the guild so that during meetings In character that your character has personally done a mission in order to progress the story. Although this isn’t always possible. Depending on the current guild storyline, role-play outside of events can often be rare. However we have a discord where people can ask or check if anyone is on and role-playing
Are there any guild class/race restrictions?: No there is not. We really like the idea of having let’s say Warlocks and Paladins working together or a Dark Iron Dwarf with a Dwarf from a different clan. We feel this can create different situations as not all races and “classes” get along IC and it can create some tense situations in our experience.
Write ups: We write all of our events in story format after we do each one so that we can keep a record of all our events, which allows us and others to go and look back but that also allows people to see the full history of the guild if they wish to do so.
Our write ups have all been written in Google Docs, at first they begin as an OOC prespective but that soon shifts to an IC prespective & that allowed us to write things from different IC points of views, not just our own characters, NPC’s we have included in events too and all of which are posted to our guild Discord as well. I am happy to send people links to the google docs if they wish to have a look before joining the guild.
