… and so it shall not.
GREYMANE’S ELITE FORCES NEED YOU!
< Greyguard > is a military based role-playing guild for Gilnean characters of all backgrounds and histories. Based loosely off the troopers accompanying Genn Greymane in Boralus, the unit focuses on building personal character stories for new members and to create a respected environment for people interested playing humans from Gilneas, or worgen cursed during the events of Cataclysm.
As an elite task force, members of the guild are devoted in-character to perform exemplary tasks themselves and with fellows that they create relationships with. As a recruit to the guild, you will be pressed through personalised in-character trials to become the best your character can be at fighting the kingdom’s most reviled enemies through events and RP-PvP. It is our hope to deliver to our new members a fun, enjoyable take on role-playing the monstrous wolfmen we see in-game, and focus on that and our unafflicted brethren to create a compelling Warcraft experience related to the trials and tribulations of the Gilnean people.

The Structure of Greymane’s Finest
This Greyguard unit is currently commanded by three officers; individuals who have proven time and time again to have the interests of Gilneas and its people solely in mind, and have gone above and beyond the call of duty to perform their duty. These three forge the commanding hand of the unit, privy to its secrets, duties and feats. They include;
- The Major — a post currently held by Aidran Cole, a veteran soldier and Royalist during the Northgate Rebellion.
- The Captains — a post held dually by Captain Cedric, a member of Ivar Bloodfang’s notorious pack, and Captain Ashton Presley, an up-and-coming officer and Rebel during the Northgate Rebellion.
Beneath the mantle of charge lies the main force of the Greyguard. Split into three divisions to better define their most skilled attributes in battle, these roles are held by individuals who have completed their personal, grueling trials and shown to be loyal soldiers to Gilneas and the Alliance.
Cavalier:
Cavalier is the term coined for all those who have an impact in the close proximity melee of each fights; they tend to be the bulwark and the fist of Greymane, sworn to a job they fulfill to their most professional ability. By progressing towards becoming a cavalier, individuals should well know beforehand what they’re signing up for — getting in the face of the fight, where the risk of death is its most highest, yet the glory of victory is its most greatest.
The Cavalier favours a balance between offense and balance, knowing when to hold his grounds and when to assault a fortified enemy position with grenades and in full kit. As such, they make the backbone of the Greyguard.
Grenadier:
The grenadier is the term coined for any long range support troops — riflemen, archers, scouts, specialists of sabotage, all focused on the duty of gathering information and flanking attacks. Their role expects them to be able to do all those duties and more, and even to engage in the melee when the conditions are dire. As the support for the cavaliers, it’s their utmost duty in the heat of battle to hold their long range distances until the last pellet is fired.
Battlemage:
The battlemage is the appellation for any form of casters within the Greyguard, whether they are tending to the wounded or blasting fireballs in the direction of the enemy, any and all form of magicians fall under this category.
Their primary role is to back the more active combat forces such as their armoured comrades, habitually kept out of harm’s away by their colleagues — it is to be précised that the the sorcerers and sorceresses have not all earned their wings from the grace of the Kirin Tor, but rather come from a wider range of magic schoolings, whether foreign or otherwise.
